What's on the back of the gantry for support? Everything else looks good and strong but I can't see the back of the gantry. Can you post another video showing the back side?
how did you hook those motors up to the computer??? i am trying to find someone that will make a video that shows how to make it and wire it to the computer
@milek021 they're both plugged into the same driver, just like how you can connect two leds to a battery and switch, both motors get the same signals, so the motors move at the same time, providing stronger movement for the axis.
@HeadShot360IN So, it's "recommended" that driver for that axis should be some "stronger" (double current ) one, to drive 2 steppers ? Am I right ? I'm planing to build cnc to work with aluminum so machine will be some more rigid with stronger NEMA 34 stepers. Thanks
I see that your using the hobbycnc 4 axis controller. Is there any way that i can hook up a slave axis for a 3 axis machine with a 3 axis controller? Or do i need to buy the hobbycnc pro board? Great Machine!!!!!!!
Hi, I see u r using two motors for the X axis, How do u connect the second motor , did u use a separate Drive control, or u just wire them in parallel?
ok,the step motors you can get just about anywhere, the computer is easy, but what about the driver board for the step motors? where can you get a good one for multiple motors that doesn't cost you your first born are there any prints/instructional that show you how to make one from say a printers guts or something of the sort? i figure a printer has got to have one linked to another micro processor that translates all the printer functions into something simpler for the motor driver to use.
could you give some information as to the name of the kit you used and the price. And were I might purchase a cnc router. Can it be used as a plasma table?

now that is a well put together machine. Nice to see people using proper bearings and couplings for once, instead of radiator hose.
