I never managed to really like this game (the gameplay and missions were ill-designed to me) but I have to admit this video is incredible. Vergil is probably the hardest final boss in modern action games and you can beat him on the highest difficulty without taking damage... I don't know what to say.

Well, you can't change styles mid-fight, which restricts the gameplay. Enemies are uninteresting. Repetitive environments and annoying puzzles. Useless DT. You have to buy Air Hike for each weapon, and you can only bear two weapons at a time. Also, being forced to do the missions all over again when you die is too frustrating. DMC4 keeps the cool gameplay but corrects these annoyying traits so I like it better. I feel like giving 3 a second chance though...

Oh, the good old Dante, why oh why did they have to "update" him?

I'll tell you why, because Dante's "cool" is the old 90's brand of "cool", relevant only from then and into the 2000's.

Nowdays, "cool" comes in a different package, the "emo" kind. It really is a shame for those of us who know and love the original Dante, but if a move is likely to make more money at the cost of alienating an already small market, companies will do so.

vergil must die mode:enemies hit 5 bars off of your hp evrey hit -royal guard and trickster disabled- all enemies activate devil trigger as SOON as you come in contact with them enemy HP increased 2x more then dante must die enemies recover HP if you dont finish them quickly guns disabled... fights nothing but hellvanguard... and thats my version of vergil must die mode

It is possible to deflect the phantom swords, he even does it in this video at 2:38. It's just really difficult, and most of the time Vergil is also using other attacks along with the swords that you have to watch out for.

You don't have to jump and guard the orbs and diving attacks, you can do it on the ground as well. But the timing is much more forgiving on air guards than on the ground. The drawback is that you can't guard a series of attacks at once in the air

My only criticism to an otherwise cool vid: how come you didn't use transformation flux? All of that blocking would have constantly re-filled your Devil Trigger gauge. Using that move would've killed Vergil in half the time.

yo le daba a rebelionasos puros y le re ganaba al gato de vergil nada de cancel jump o royal guard rebelion asta que se muera y esquivaba todos sus ataques pero lo maximo que saque con vergil fue s nomas en very hard nunca le llegue a jugar en dmd por que siempre pasaba algo que no dejaba terminarlo y me cagaba la grabacion, perdi la grabacion por que la remplazze sin querer, perdi el juego y tengo la grabacion en la memoria xD, y en la pc perdi mi placa de video jaja lo pase como 40 veses
