  • Is that a 4 speed? If so, take off the W30 badges and from the title. 4 speed cars didn't have enough vacuum to run power brakes with the cam they had. Still a very nice car though.

  • A wonderful exapmple of the breed!

  • Beauty.Check out my 70 4speed.Thanks.

  • Beautiful! I want it! Mine sounded just like yours.

  • Well done.. That paint really jumps..

  • i meant side stripes only...not the hood.Although, i do think the side black stripes on a gold '70 442 look nice.

  • i like the '70 without stripes...just my preference.

  • Ended up on this page once again, I love looking at perfect 442's and the last time I was here I commented. But after reading my comment I noticed I failed to mention how beeeeautiful your Olds is and the idle is perfect and sounds without any doubt like the Oldsmobiles did in those days. That sound could never be mistaken for anything other than an Olds. It's getting close for me to give up the motorcycle and get behind the wheel of a 70-71 442. Magnificent! add that to your compliments.

  • Very nice!! I have a 67 Cutlass, in process of restoring..just bought a 394 big block to put in it...hopefully ill get it this nice soon! haha love the paint btw

  • Nice! Nice! Nice!

  • Bad Ass....Nice...

  • Bad to the BONE!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

  • You did an amazing job man, you should be very proud!!!

  • thats the best looking 442 i've seen!! You did an outstanding job on a resto with that car.... I would say the 4 years you spent was well worth every bit of time and money invested... :)

  • I had a 71 cutlass "s"-350 Rocket-4bbl my girlfriend's sister and her boyfriend had one exactly like this one only instead of white stripe theirs had a black stripe. Mine would chirp tires if you hit the pedal a little much from a stop. So I could imagine what theirs could do with all that torque in the 455. I got to drive it once but the sister was so scared to let me get on it. So I respected her and drove it like I was going to church. Still a very nice drive it was.Later I got my own 455.

  • i pull my pecker to this on the regular.

  • I had a 70 442 W-30 I would give by left nut to have back . You have a beautful car man

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • looks nice. i wanna get a muscle car to restore its a toss-up (atleast for ones in my town) between a 70 cutlass and a 70 el camino. i was always for chevys but if the price is right its got my name all over it :)

  • how much did that paint job run ya? and what kind of orange is that? or what type of paint? get back at me man,..

  • great job ... i too like the color

  • Fantastic job and sooooo badass!

  • lookin like a gold fish orange! lol

  • sabre !!! :D

  • hell yes ..

saved from the stupid ugly sparkly big dumb looking rims plague that seems to be ruining many of these that still exist ....tough car , and beautiful too. great work !

  • Beautiful, and you did a great job restoring! There's nothing that hurts me more than seeing muscle like this either rusting out or being destroyed in gay movies such as the Fast and the Furious.

  • @BlueOysterCult87 You do realize most expensive cars in action movies like that are fake? They make theem themselves just for movies, so they're not really original

  • AWESOME!

  • the W30 is true muscle

  • gorgeous work guys....love the colour too

  • i wrote a story about a car possessed by a banshee (similar to christine, with a lot of differences) and that car's engine's sound was the kind that would make veteran Honda and Mitsubishi racers (in the Philippines) pee their pants... this car just gave me the fucking fright of my life man. she resembles "Estella" the 1970 Olds 442...(only she was in blood red with no stripes)

  • you guys did a great job, everytime i see a car like this i get an car orgasm

  • by far the best car!

  • Incredible. The car looks awesome.

Thanks for sharing it brings back a lot of memories

  • Four years well spent. One of the best-looking examples I've ever seen.

  • When I had my 442 back in 1970 I had to beat the women off with a tow chain.

    They were great chick magnets.

  • and that is four years well spent. freaking gorgeous.

  • 4 bbl--4-speed--2 (duel exaust)

  • Nice job the orange is sick!

  • Great looking car..

  • I like the orange with the white stripes. Also that orange goes well with the red fender wells. Very nice.

  • Wow, this motivates me to get into classic restoration!

  • That color looks great.

  • i like the color combo. Great job on the restoration!

  • beautiful car man.

  • Gorgeous Car!

  • WOW. nice car man nice paint job as well and i like the shine from the grill

  • 442= 4 barrel,4 speed,2 barrel exhaust.

  • nah its 4 barrel 4 speed 2 door

  • Growing up, my best friend's parents had the same color 442 minus the white stripes on the side. His dad used to race it all the time when he was growing up. His mom used the car as her daily driver. It looked and sounded awesome.

  • bad ass fuckin car man!!! i just bought one, and it needs work, but its gunna be worth it

  • hey i have a 69 cutlass S that i am about to paint in a month or so...(lemans blue w/white) how much was ur paint job...i like the quality!!! nice 442!!! jealous lol

  • I just purchases a '71 442. I'd say that it was worth the 4 year restoration.

  • nice what color is it? thankyou it was a fun project.

  • Its black with white stripes but it doesn't have the ram air like yours. Its in good shape so I can have fun and drive it around until I'm done with it. Have fun with yours and don't let gas prices get to you!

  • favorite car

  • VERY nice. Love the sound of this car, when filmed from the rear.

  • I wish I owned this car.. very nice.

  • Beautiful car!! It looks just like mine, but different stripe and interior color.

  • Nice car!

  • It looks great. Looks like you guys did a very good job. I have a 70 442 as well (although not a W-30) and it definitely doesn't look this clean. Not yet at least ;-)

Congrats to you and your dad.

  • thanks its alot of fun. does your 442 have the ram air? and whats the color?

  • It does not have the ram air. It's black with the white pinstripe. Black interior.
