All cults, sects, denominations, and religious promoters have this in common — they believe there is a sense in which God loves all men and Christ died for the sins of all men.
If Christ died for all the sins of all men, then all men will be saved.
If Christ died for some of the sins of all men, no one will be saved.
However, if Christ died (as the Scripture teaches) for all the sins of His elect, then His elect will be saved.
@Testallthings u called it before his fellowship and approval of Rick Warren and his false teaching which is what it took to for me to see clearly. I believe we are in the perilous times Paul spoke of. These types of false teachers are by far the most dangerous as they are not gimmicky in nature but both passionate and scholarly in doctrine.
To deny effectual and particular redemption is to deny the very sum and substance of the Gospel - SUBSTITUTION.
I am not surprised when certain preachers decide they will no longer preach particular redemption, for it is without question the most hated truth in Scripture.
Universal love and universal atonement are universally accepted by all of Adam’s sons except those who, by the grace of God, have seen the Lord Jesus Christ as Isaiah saw His glory and spoke of Him.
Thank you for this video. As a new convert, I'm not familiar with Mr. Piper, but I do know my Lord Jesus is sufficient in all things, and I recognized Piper's words as heresy. I'll not be watching any more of his vids. Thanks again.
It is FINISHED!! Piper speaks with condemnation in his "preaching" he is not qualified to do so. Jesus IS, and he says "Go, nor I condemn you." I don't understand how this guy is behind a pulpit.
Excellent , excellent video, I've been saying this for years about Piper un heeded. He once said to his congregation you step on the glory of God everyday, you mar His glory by your life and sin.! God's glory has never been marred and never stepped on it is never subjective.Christ is not vindicated by works either before or after the cross.Christ satisfied God exclusively and perfectly .Thank you your voice is needed.
The LORD Jesus met ALL of the conditions for the salvation of His elect. Faith is not a CONDITION that the elect must meet in order to be saved, it is a gift of God. A person with faith believes that Jesus met ALL of the conditions for their salvation and thus John Piper doesn't have faith because he does NOT believe that Jesus met ALL of the conditions for salvation. Piper believes that man must meet certain conditions in order to become saved and this is why he teaches universal atonement.
That is a foolish question, asked with wrong motives.
God has and does convert many of His elect sheep out of the false gospel of arminianism, just as there are saints who were once atheists, evolutionists, JW's, Mormons etc.
So no, OFCOURSE not all arminians are damned to hell. I used to be arminian prior to my conversion.
Those professing Calvinists who know what Arminianism is and yet consider Arminians to be their brothers in Christ are in the same sorry state as the Arminian.
They do not believe that the gospel is the good news of salvation conditioned on the atoning blood and imputed righteousness of Christ alone; instead, they consider the Arminian gospel of salvation conditioned on the sinner to be a true gospel.
Arminians believe that the work of Jesus Christ DID NOT satisfy the demands of God's law and justice. They believe that God IS NOT a just God and a Saviour. They DO NOT know how God is just to justify the ungodly. They believe that Christ's work alone DOES NOT make the difference between heaven and hell. The god of this world has blinded their minds. They do NOT see God's redemptive glory in the work of Christ. Such a person is lost.
@Testallthings Amen! I was raised Catholic, was encouraged by my mother to dabble in the occult, later became an agnostic, then an Arminian charismatic, then a Pentecostal, and finally an unregenerate Calvinist for ten years before God, in His long suffering and mercy, finally drew me to His Son. Jesus saves His elect, no matter how egregiously we've sinned or how long we've resisted Him.
Christ died for all sinners, so that IF you will repent and believe in Christ, then the death of Jesus will become effective in your case and will take away your sins. Died for you, means if you believe, the death of Jesus will cover your sins. Now, as far as it goes, this is biblical teaching.
(John Piper - "Taste and See" (Multnomah,1999), page 325),
If anyone reads that Piper quote and STILL thinks he is a 5 point calvinist then please don't waste my time by commenting. You are a dishonest human being.
You obviously do not understand 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
You are forgetting the words "according to the scriptures"
I suppose you have the same interpretation of those verses as Roman Catholics and arminians, both groups also ignore Paul when he wrote: "according to the scriptures".
Hmm. Interesting. I happen to like Piper's teachings, but I've never heard of him saying anyithing aout speaking in tongues. I personally am against the so called 'speaking in tongues that the charasmatics use today. It's not the real tongues.
I personally do not believe that anyone can come to God on their own, AND God never fails to save those who the Father brings to Him. Therefore it would appear paradoxical that God CHOOSES as well as some times, being influenced by man. But God NEVER fails to save . He is the author and finisher of our faith.
John Piper and Mark Driscoll are both heretics, and their so-called "New Calvinism" is really the old heresy of justification by faith and works!
Piper and Driscoll both claim Calvinists believe everything Arminians believe, but Calvinists simply believe more.
This nonsense tosses all logic to the wind! The doctrines of Calvinism are logically incompatible with the doctrines of Arminianism: You can't believe in Calvinism without necessarily rejecting Arminianism!

are you really saying that John Piper is lost? Like lost lost? Like 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 lost?
and are you sayin that any Arminian is 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 lost?
ptporras 1 year ago 10
@ptporras Yes. Galatians 1 verses 8 and 9
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Regarding arminians, they do not believe the gospel.
Testallthings 1 year ago
Wow! I never heard Piper say these things before now. Thanks for the warning.

Michael, Ray Comfort believe in another gospel, he teaches universal atonement.
Furthermore if you agree with Piper that you are saved by obeying and meeting certain conditions of the covenant then you are as lost as he is.
Jesus met ALL of the conditions for the salvation of His elect.
Faith believes that Jesus met ALL of the conditions for the salvation of His people.
If you do not believe this, then you do not have faith.
Testallthings 2 years ago
It is very true that from the lips of Ray Comfort on 'Way of the Master' you will hear universal atonement and salvation conditioned on the sinner.

Well yes, God does convert Arminians into Calvinism. Myself included.
What I specifically mean is, if an Arminian dies still believing in Arminianism, denying Calvinism, is he going to hell?
SalvationEternity777 2 years ago 7
Ok that is a better question, thankyou.
Arminians believe that the work of Jesus Christ DID NOT satisfy the demands of God's law and justice. They believe that God IS NOT a just God and a Saviour. so you are basically saying that arminians are not and can not be brothers in Christ? is that what your saying? that they preach another gospel?
illbehonest 2 years ago 8
Ofcourse!
There is no such thing as arminian who believes the true gospel.
Arminianism is another gospel, and an arminian believes a false gospel.
Some people say that arminianISM is another gospel but arminians themselves are Christians.
But that is a lie!
An arminian can be a brother in Christ if God regenerates them and gives them repentance unto the acknowledging of the truth.
Testallthings 2 years ago
Do you believe that arminians preach another gospel?
Do you believe the same gospel that arminians preach?
Do you believe the same gospel that arminians believe?
Do you worship the same christ that the arminians worship?
Testallthings 2 years ago
John Piper preaches another gospel of salvation conditioned on what God enables the sinner to do.
It's the same false gospel that Mark Driscoll preaches.
There is only a slight difference between these 2 men and the arminian.
Both of these men teach that their god loves and desires the salvation of all men.
God's people preach the true gospel of salvation conditioned on the atoning blood and imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ ALONE!

What is 'new calvinism'?
vekl 2 years ago
New calvinism is a heretical movement headed by false prophets such as Piper and Driscoll.
They universalize the atonement like their arminisn brothers and join with the charismatics.
I know of people in Piper's congregation who speak in tongues and they believe that God is still delivering divine messages today.
Driscoll says that God talks to him audibly.
