Brilliant playing! I think I should get this out again! Just one suggestion, when there are repeated pedal notes, try not to use the weight of your whole leg, more the movement of the ankle, to "swivel" the foot, I found this makes for much better pedaling technique
6 days ok, wow i dont remeber that, but im getting a hang of the begining part of this piece now, and the second slower section in d minor is getting smoother
I have a Johannus too, but mine doesn't have such complex pitches. Nice interpretation!!! I love this transcription that Bach created. What a wonderful man he was.
It's true. I know some organists and almost all of them have problems in maintaining rythm specially in complex pieces like this. Your phrases are nice and rythm is excelent. Congratulations again.
You play really beautiful!!... I`m glad you share your talent with us. This is the best interpretation for this piece I have found here, in Youtube. I`m an amateur pianist, and I love this piece for organ. Do you know where can I get the sheet music?
Excellent rendering of a beautiful work! As well, the organ sounds exceptional. Johannus has really come a very long way in creating exceptional pipe-like instruments. Thanks for sharing your talent and instrument with us.
Yes johannus has come a very long way. good they are awayfrom the 1980's sound. I would say they are in the top 5 organ makers. 5) Viscount 4) Van Der Poel 3)Johannus 2) Allen 1) Marshall and Ogeltree. What do you say is the top 5 digi organ makers?
I play a pipe instrument in church, so I am not as familiar with what all the different companies are coming up with. However, I would say Rodgers is my first favorite, followed by Johannus. These seem to have the most authentic pipe sounds I have heard. But, I have not heard other electronic instruments recently, so my opinion is biased. But I do love this Johannus organ used in this recording.
I prefer johannus' twin company Makin in Oldham. They specialise in Digital organs but have made some fantastic sounding instruments. St. Matthew's chadderton is an example. Johannus are dutch are they not?

This organ produced beautiful sounds. How many ranks?

Very well done! It would be hard to imagine it being played better, with the type of instrument and acoustics at Mr Goldfinch's disposal.
