I have been to Colombo seven times, many Tamils live there in harmony, many of them have good jobs and education. Many of them own businesses and have prospered greatly. I have been to Colombo seven times, many Tamils live there in harmony, many of them have good jobs and education. Many of them own businesses and have prospered greatly. Needless to say these Tamils are resented by their rural counterparts b/c they have been brainwashed. 6,000 years ago, there were no Sinhala or Tamils. Sri Lanka was inhabited by the indegenous Wanniyala-Aetto (Vedda) people, an austronesian ethnic group (similar to the aborgines of Australia). Sinhala (the language has similarities to Gujarati and Sindhi) and Tamil immigration to Sri Lanka only started around 3000-2500 years ago, based on archaeological evidence as well as Sri Lankan legends. However, there is no proof to whether Tamils or Sinhalese immigrated first.
