This so brings back memories. I can still remember all the old songs from sesame street when i watched it 30 odd years ago. Sesame street was one of those shows you actually learnt something from. Not that kids should spend too much time in front of the TV tho. Elmo signalled the end of an era...it was never teh same after he came along. Peace everyone.
And before it was all about merchandising fucking Elmo rubbish...
Back when Elmo was just another monster on The Street...
Before the world was overtaken by Elmo fever...
God, I hate Elmo.
I honestly believe that if Jim Henson saw what Sesame Street has become, he'd vomit all over Elmo, and the other squibs who ruined this one legendary show.
There will NEVER be another Jim Henson, or Joe Raposo at that.
i was watching this video next to a mirror,,, me and my friend noticed the in the reverse reflection it looks like when the russian hydra monster puppet
this is very family-friendly and cosy compared to the performance with the Nicholas Brothers (in the menu to your right there) which has more of a "Cotton Club-mob" air to it.
awesome....i loved this as a kid....i knew what scattin was when i was like 7 lol....i used to try to do it....sesame street isnt the same as it used to be...sad
I agree...Sesame Street kinds sucks now compared to the 70's..they seemed to have taught alot more on numbers and letters and things back then. I don't know why they don't show any of that classic stuff now. They should.
don't deny it, the only reason Sesame Street was better back then was because they had Cab and we don't! But yea, you're right, even in the early '90's when I was watching it, it was tons better then it is today.
I'm sorry...Cab was one of the coolest brothers to ever walk the planet EVEN when working with muppets. Rest in peace Sir.

These days Cab Calloway would of been proud that people respect his music. the blues brothers made the best songs forward.
