Thank you very much for this clip. Today is the fifth Sunday in Lent, so may Saint Mary of Egypt by the divine power that she has earned from God help you in your needs. It's amazing how the worst sinners have become God's most precious saints. How can they love God so much? How can they abandon those "delicious" sins and live a continuous prayer disregarding everything wordly? The most lustful woman of Alexandria has become a most amazing saint. Food for thought..
Something even more spectacular happend to St. Mary of Egypt. Goggle The Life of our Venerable Mother Mary of Egypt to find out. You won't be disappointed.
this story is fascinating but not in the crhistian eprspective. the desert fatehrs were influenced very much by egyptian priests of horus and osiris. the advent of modern christianity has much to do with the egyptian trinity of horus isis meri and osiris. modern christians are fools. a real christian does not live in a christian society but in a desert. and he certainly doesnt have wifes and kids. what a bunch of fools
I learned of St. Mary of Egypt this year. Very interesting story. One things I love about the Orthodox saints is that they seem such more more "real" than the saints I grew up with in the Roman Catholic Church who were impossibly "perfect."
@belladeballe No saints were perfect. The way there story is written does not include their imperfections. I actually sometimes like hearing saint stories of repentant sinners and I like saint stories where their flaws are not mentioned.
This video is incomplete. It said nothing about Saint Zosima and Saint Mary walking over the river Jordan to receive holy Communion, her death and the lion.

@cryostation You're a moron. The Apostles were all devout Jews meaning they were MONOTHEISTS and they were brought up to hate polytheism.

It is not so important that these elements are missing in the video - it is important that they are in your heart!:)
