Hello there every one...I have a question i gest get my netbook from germany and i get it with 2gb ddr 3 i get a 500 gb hard disk, the n vidia ion, and in the back of it its say that the model it's the 311-1130e...My question will be, does this have a dual core or it's gest a single core netbook..When i go in to the configuration it's sas 1.60 and then again 1.60...So i supose that it has dual core but i am not sure..Can anyone help me in this problem,. The mini 311 "only" has a single core CPU. The 1201n has dual-core. So maybe its a little bit better, but the batterylife may be a bit shorter.

@mariusignio Its not a dualcore, but it has multithreading, thats why you see "two cpus". Its only singlecore:)

nie wieder HP! unstabil, klapprig und wenig haltbar. meiner war schon 3x in reperatur und der service schafft es nicht das teil dauerhaft fehlerfrei zu bekommen. problem bekannt, wackelkontakt displayzuleitung mehrfach defekt (keine hintergrundbeleuchtung), display spiegelt total, sound klingt wie blecheimer, fingerabdrücke überall wegen hochglanz... NIE wieder. mein nächstes wird nen toshiba oder sony oder acer

HP ist wohl bekannt für technische desaster. habe ich schon von vielen erfahren mittlerweile. tolles design aber nichts dahinter. und der service spielt permanent bei jeder reperatuir des DISPLAYS das betriebssystem neu auf. diesesmal werde ich das teil zum 4.!!!! mal einschicken aber ohne festplatte. sollte es dann nicht klappen ANWALT!

nachdem 4. monitor mit bildproblemen und weitere mängle die beim 1. monitor nicht da waren, wie zb. piepen des tft´s hab ich mein geld zurück verlangt, das war das einzige was mich gefraut hat. du hast recht, das design ist vielversprechend, leider fallen viele darauf rein.

There's no problem with a normal headset but for headset + microphone you need a special adapter or a headset that is capable for this jack.

I call 11.6-inch Notebooks -> Subnotebooks. Just because they was called Subnotebooks years ago. If its 10-inch and below, it' s a netbook. But I don't call my old IBM X30 (12-inch) a netbook :) It's of course a subnotebook.

First, great video, very appreciated. In terms of terms, it's possible that Europe has different terms for different computers. I'm from North America. As bloggers or webmasters, we need to unify terms. It will take years to resolve otherwise. It's not good for anyone to have 5 terms for the same product. So, 11.6 inch computers, are called netbooks or they are called laptops or notebooks or ultra thin laptops! Amazon isn't using subnotebook. Laptop/Notebook/Netbook. Drop the sub or mini. Unify.

Netbook is a term that was "invented" only a few years ago. But the term "subnotebook" was there years before anybody could imagine netbooks :) Search Wikipedia for subnotebook. Subnotebook is the term for 11, 12, 13 inch Notebooks. I don't think that such "big" Notebooks as the Compaq Mini 311 should be called Netbook (Netbook = 7, 9, 10 inch devices for me)

Interesting, I didn't know the history of subnotebook. Of course it's your choice, but for a successful website/blog you need to consider what term people out there are using. I just look at what Amazon is using for terms. Subnotebook is not a term I would be investing in. Makers want to avoid netbook. More profit in laptops. That's why they are calling 11 inchers, notebooks/laptops. Netbook = organic term. Look around. Netbook replaced subnotebook term if you watch trends (what people use).

And of course Sony made what most would call netbooks, but they consciously decided not to use the term as they wanted theirs to look better in comparison to other netbooks. The only thing that makes this any different to what has previously been known as a sub-notebook is the intel atom processor.

Just ordered mine with WWAN direct from HP and have to wait 2 weeks :( First thing I am disappointed about is no n280 option in the UK (the US has it with the HP 311). Second is the glossy screen, would prefer matte. But all in I think this netbook is ideal for me.

The power brick looks exactly the same as from the bigger HP Pavilion laptops. When compactness is important you would think a smaller one would have been designed. They also get very warm in my experience.
