  • AWESOME!!!!

  • God bless the Aussie yanks and the English

    Brothers in Arms

  • "My love, stay strong and you will do well in life. I love you and my children deeply. Today and tomorrow let each day grow and grow. Keep smiling and never give up even when things get you down. So in closing my love, tonight tuck my children in bed warmly. Tell them I love them, then hug them for me and give them both a kiss goodnight for daddy. "

  • I am a medical officer's wife!

Have to reminded everyone of how long ago your fathers (mothers)... were forging this? country with their sweat and?

I will wonder, probably more than once, what it was would be enjoying such prosperity and freedom like we do today. God bless everyone and your family; Especially of our Military hero!

  • what makes me sad is that three people dont honor the dead or living soldiers who risk thier lives for us.

  • The life and infinitely valuable to be wasted.

All return home safely as well.

  • RANGERS HO!

  • Respect from Romania !great sound and pictures

  • Thank you to all those that served. For those that came home, and for those who were left behind or still in theatre. Mere words can not do justice to the amount debt of gratitute that is owed to all that fought or continue to fight for the stars and stripes. It is my hope that a simple thank you will do

  • all i can say is Thank you

  • And the sad thing is that some asshole Christian extremists don't want to honor and bury dead soldiers because "God doesn't want it". I mean I don't believe in God but if he's real, I'm SURE that he wants us to bury our soldiers.

  • May God Almighty - The Supreme Architect of the Universe Bless this Brave Sainted Soldiers Soul, Give his Family comfort and Comfort and let them know that he did not pass in vain... I Salute Him. He is a better Man than I.

  • For those that have never read the words to Minstrel Boy, please do so before you watch this. It will have a ton more meaning when you do watch this.

I love the final verses of the song:

And said "No chains shall sully thee,

Thou soul of love and brav'ry!

Thy songs were made for the pure and free,

They shall never sound in slavery!"

  • One special video for me. Thank you from the basque country.

  • If I die for someone, I want this song for my funeral.

  • @aquilest003 i want this if i die in combat.

  • @pelon773a Then who fights for?

  • Great Pictures!

    Salutes from Sweden.

  • Hoo AH! I was there the first time nearly twenty years ago and I do feel a small amount of guilt that you and our brother troopers had to finish this job. 1 Oct 1990 thru 17 March 1991 Renegade 4/3 ACR welcome home brother. And the same to all our brother troopers of the Regiment of Mounted Riflemen.

  • brave rifles

They shall never sound in slavery!

  • very gud video

  • Congratulations to Captain Soper and you for crafting a superb video. You've captured everything except the oppressive heat and ever-present dust. Well Done, Major Labrador. Kind Regards, Col JCK, USAFR, Ret.

  • Very nice video. My faveorite song, and my faveorite video I have ever seen, beats even any hollywood films. Nice work. Any place I could fins this for download?

Hard to think I may be doing this soon.

Leave no one behind, Semper Fi.

  • Only the dead have seen the end of war.Socrates.

  • Well done. Beautiful and moving presentation. Thank you.

  • no man gets left behind rangers lead the way

    Airborne All The Way

  • @adentheblack we fight with brits in ww2 but they fuck us in the ass when stalin come to berlin. we was fighting for nothing and brits are cowards like french....

  • God Bless that medical corps.!!! they have balls.!!!

  • Tidy video and music !............

  • I am an american but dont forget the aussies they support us even when the brits didn't in vietnam. God bless these men that are so selfless and brave for eachother. I only wish there was 72 virgins for the men who give there lives for there brothers. I think we all know thats a little crazy.

  • I dont agree with the war in vietnam as it was terrible waste of brave mens lives but i should point out that the Brits were fighting succesful hearts and mind campaigns elsewhere against communism and that why they were not involved in vietnam

  • @stansyerman brits fight against communism??!! please dont fuck and go sleep. They was fucking cowards like french...

  • u tarnish the memory of the men who fought against tyrants . you tarnish the memory of your own country men who served with the brits

  • The price of freedom is not cheap,it is been payed for in the blood of these brave American and British soldiers so you and I can enjoy the every day freedoms we enjoy.

  • by killing muslim scum!

  • stop.

  • @mauysz665 That's not a question you should ask here, where so many people who know the answer to that question for themselves come to mourn the loss off their family and friends. Please, learn to show some Goddamn respect for the dead.

  • If it wasn't for us your polish ass would have been born in Auschwitz. maybe if the world would behave itself we wouldn't have to go kicking down the motherfucking door in every country who begged us for help like your country.

  • @Justin9932

Do you even know what Auschwitz was? There were very few Poles there, little time for sex and an even less amount of time for child birth....

  • @Justin9932 I didn’t follow all the posts so I don’t know what the polock is bitching about but the fact is like it or not the US of A sold Poland down the river after world war II. They bravely fought the Nazis and what did we do? We handed their country over to the Soviet Pigs and Joe Stalin! If they hate us at least I can understand their resentment… Now the fucking French are another matter.

  • @mauysz665 you're just a marxist pig who wants to enslave the world, so who gives a shit what you think? fuck you, pig.

  • @bjtmick lawl no, i am a monster from your wardrobe when you was 9

  • @beardedbard

i have a lot respect for real warriors, but not at all for young fucktards shooting evry shit they see like in a fucking game, and btw. i have pointed real facts.

u know what the FACT is ?

  • @mauysz665 The FACT IS that this vid was created to mourn lives lost, and to help the grieving. Point out all the facts you want, but you have no right to judge that all those killed in any war, including this one, are what you have called them. I DON'T support the invasion of Iraq, but I have friends there right now who are NOT who you think they are. Your comments don't belong here. They belong elsewhere. Please respect the dead, or your comments will come back to you.

  • heroes

  • HaloLovingFanatic Trust me on this, If ever i get myself into such a state that anything so fucking moronic as you are, has to take a shot for me, I'll hope to god it's me you shoot, cos otherwise I'd have to shoot you!!! what a prick!!

  • lol like anyone called halolovingfanatic would be put into such a postion of power ..... with a name like that you already know what his concept of war is

  • 经典!

  • I don't know about the rest of you guys talking trash or anything, but I'm gonna give praise and prayer to these brave soldiers risking their lives on the line for their brothers. Alot of em say they are just dolin' a job, but hell...they deserve waay more. May God watch over their backs. Hooah! Oorah! You guys rock! =)

  • Two days ago a British soldier was killed in Afghanistan by a roadside bomb,he was actually an Irishman from County Cavin in the Irish Republic. Before he left for Afghanistan,he was interviewed by Irish radio,he said he wanted to go, to help our Allie (America) & bring freedom to the Afghan people. May God smile upon him,ths song sounds like it was written just for him.

  • it sure does... this song was originally written in ireland but didint become very popular in the states until the civil war when the third verse was added... great song.. God Bless Our troops and our Allies

  • @mitsubishi109 This song was written for Irishman by Sir Thomas Moore in the 1500's.

And may their gods rest all their souls, those happy fewer who have fallen for us, may we never forget.

  • @johncrighto Actually, it was written in 1798, near the end of one of Ireland's many revolts - but then the song is timeless, so the year isn't too important, I guess...

  • @mitsubishi109 It was written for him, and many like him. God bless his soul and all who would fight for the preservation of liberty in the world.

  • IN three years I'm going to join the Marines and try to become a Sniper...And I pray to god that I never have to Cover ANY of you people...

  • FYI, just signed my papers for AFROTC, had my first class on Thurs. and will be doing PT @ 0600 tomorrow morning. GO AIR FORCE!!!

  • he has a right to say he's an internationalist. i don't blame him with bush leading our country to hell and all.

  • As long as there is man there is war.

  • So what if UNspacycadet is an "internationalist" Forensic? At least he has the courage to serve his country. What the hell are you guys that are giving him shit doing? If anything you guys are trolls and need to leave the man that has guts to serve his country alone. Pick on me, I dare you, you sad, sad little man.

  • Quit your jibber jabber. this is a respectful and well made vid. ANB has produced the best vid on here ref Iraq.

  • "My country, in her dealing with other countries, may she always be right. But she is still my country, right or wrong." That's how I can say that...and isn't America about people of different beliefs able to come together and make the world a better place? And if you believe me to be fake, I can surely point out that I am enrolled in the AFROTC program at my university.

And I know there are big problems with the UN, but I believe in what it tries to accomplish.

  • While I'm not a liberal by any stretch of the imagination I do agree with you in some areas. Muslims are not the enemy, radical nutjobs on both sides are. And I believe that a strong, decisive UN could be a great thing, but its just not there yet, so we must handle things ourselves. And as a 3rd class AFROTC cadet, I may follow you into combat someday so I sincerely hope you have the ability to put your country first at all times. And I got a 99 for pilot and nav on AFOQT, (shameless brag):)

  • 99? I hope I can get that high, hehe. Maybe we can be in the same squadron. I'm hoping for 5th Air Force, 38th Wing, 18 TFS...

And as a 4th/5th Gen. military, I'm pretty sure I can stay loyal to my country. Thanks for your support.

  • Great tribute vid.

To Forensic and others: As a future AF officer (hopefully 5th Air Force), I support an American's right to speak their mind. And so what his name sounds Muslim? Your opinions are biased and unsubstantiable. I am also very anti-Republican, though not a Democrat. I am proud to call myself an Internationalist.

    Good day.

  • Seriously, you people can't express yourself without making a scatalogical reference and attacking Americans who don't support your politics. It is instructive that until you and your little buddy popped up people were just praising the video and Americans who served. You and your little raging pal brought devisive politics to the table. Out of respect for tribute's creator, I will not again repsond to your vitriolic anti American rancor and will allow your words to expose your character.

  • Ya know. Im a liberal and served for 12 years. Im sick of you foul mouthed right wingers thinking you own patriotism. The only two Medal of Honor winners who were awarded their decorations since the Civil War and served in the Senate were both Liberal Democrats. Add up the Purple Hearts, Silver Stars and Medals of Honor and you can see why you are such an ill informed insolent whiner.

  • on regularity basis though most liberals are against any war were we take casualities and most republicans support the wars to show we have back-bone which is the baeuty of america becuase it balances everything out

  • Amen! I'm a proud Republican and I love my country!

  • GEOHHADDAD..First off thank you for your service. Thank you for putting your life on the line for your country. You, and everyone else who does it is brave and true beyond expression. If it wasn't for a broken ankle and bad eyes I'd either be flying the slow boats (C-130) or be working in intelligence this very day. But unfortunately I'm not. However, it has been my personal experience, and observations indirectly through news organizations that a greater majority of disablers are left wing.

  • kinda sounds like Tommy Chong is singing in this, but my dad's friend fought in Mogadishu on October 3rd and 4th he was one of the men that ran the Mogadishu Mile

  • I cried that was so good. on a scale of one to ten,I give it a 30

  • I can cry very much.

    The war has good nothing.

  • I dont understand what you mean when you say "the war has good nothing" care to elaborate ittii1122?"

  • (to jetguy13 and especially ittii1122)

    "The war has nothing good".

I disagree, for sometimes war must be waged, for defence and freeing purposes.

  • Thanks for putting that one together. It was really moving and meant a lot. During my 12 years as a Marine officer my primary duty was combat search and rescue. There is nothing like bringing them back alive. Thank you again.

Maj. G H Haddad, USMC (ret.)

  • to all brothers in arms... we support you

  • I cant tell you how good this song fits in to the end of Black Hawk Down.

    Also very insperational

  • you're right! =)

  • every time i see this video, it always brings a tear to my eye

    great work dude, great work

  • there are no words.

  • That was done very well. I'm out of here pretty darn soon. I was looking for Irish music and found this. I must be getting soft in my old age, been in 23 years. That was rougher than watching Old yellar!

    Thanks again.

PS with respect to journalist with weapons. All the Combat Camera folks have them. They may be Soldiers first but they are still jounalist trained.

And BTW I'm Navy riding with the 3-7 CAB. I'd come back if asked.

  • hey 37ewo. i have a lot of respect for servicemen out on service and at home you guys are heroes.

i got to ask though little pistols is wot they carry isnt it, shouldnt they be allowed to carry reasonable firepower like an uzi or even better an m4 carbine, they pack a punch and stop the enemy dead it doesnt seem fair for these people to have to soley rely on u guys when u already under the stress of keeping urselves alive.

  • i was under the impression that all journalists are non combatants and are not allowed to carry guns only there mercinaries. even though the insurgents dont care for rules of war. in my oppinion we should be allowed to shoot the insurgents that surender. they want to kill our civilians. y not shoot them. i think journalists should be allowed a weapon to defend themselves though. oh and get rid of courts convined to decide if soldiers kill for no reason. they got every reason.

  • well IMO the whole concept of morality in warfare is kind of hypocritical. If we had morality in warfare we would not have warfare at all.

  • Fantastic video ANB, there is a load of dross on this site from Iraq etc, this is well thought out and executed. p.s. I've been so I know.

  • Fantastic video ANB, there is a load of dross on this site from Iraq etc, this is well thought out and executed. p.s. I've been so I know.

  • The one film shot of the woman soldier hugging the other guy chokes me up every single time. Thanks again ANB.

  • 1:38 was that a british journalist? it looks really like a book iread by british journalist in iraq

  • No, that was a picture of me at Udari Range right before we pushed north into Iraq.

BTW, how many journalists do you know that carry M-16s in theater???

  • well none are allowed carry them, but wouldnt it be reasonable to assume that he might ask to have a photo taken with the M-16?

    yes i though so

  • I don't know about anyone else, but when I was in theater NO ONE but me touched my weapon...especially since it always had live rounds in or on it. But that is just me.

  • well if the weapon was unloadaded and hes told not to point it anywhere i believe many soldiers wouldnt mind, my point was that just because in a posed foto he had a weapon does not mean he couldnt be a journalist, listen anyways iv heard good stories of how hard the nurses and doctors have worked in iraq and afghanistan to save lives so im not lookin to start a row wit ya

  • To those of foreign lands that support our fighting men and women everywhere, I would like to say thank you on behalf of their families, their friends, their country men, those they have freed, those they protect, themselves, and freedom loving people everywhere.

Thank you for supporting them and I thank you from the bottom of heart.

  • TennessesShine, I agree, but most politicians don't see people, they see tools. They forget that they're ordering people to go to war, but order them they do. Others forget that our American Service Personnel carry the freedom of the world on their shoulders and the first to be called and the first to be abandoned. I often wonder if we should not just withdraw and protect our closet allies and leave the rest on their own, but it will be wrong to those who have no say and are in need our support.

  • Sounds so awesome the way he says "The Minstrel Boy" at 1:31

  • Truely an awesome video thank you for sharing it,

  • Well, Happy St. Patrick's Day to every mother's child here. And I'll lift a glass to all you you OVER THERE, for letting me live in peace OVER HERE.

  • god bless all those who serve their country may we always remember as best we can the sacrifices they made, because the cost of freedom is not free. may they be remembered together as heroes. they will not say it but they are. and may all the gods in this world hold them in their hands what ever there religion. i hope that you guys will come home. were all behind u.

  • God bless America, also all Irishmen serving in the British army, especially the Royal Irish who are off to Afghanistan, god be with you.

  • sadly, the work you do is undervalued. i thought you should know i have a deep respect for all nurses, and especially the troops. this video only made it deeper. this is something i only wish i could someday be a part of because it is something that makes a difference. i know. i had great nurses and doctors and they made the difference in my recovery.

thank you for what you do.

  • from germany too: thanks to the U.S. soldiers for their great job all around the world.

  • ... and from Denmark also :) they do a great job, it's a shame so many want admit it

  • Fron Spain, thanks to the soldiers of America

  • Very, very emotional tribute to the men and women serving OUR country and attempting to give freedom a chance in Iraq and Afganistan. You should send a copy of the video with the words to Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Anyone that can watch this video and not be moved to tears is made of stone!

  • U.S. fucking A!!!!!! Semper-Fi

  • That was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Thanks.

  • God Bless you all

  • alsome video. God bless America

  • I'm sorry for getting tangled up with that other guy, he just made me so mad.

But that's not what this is about.

Once more, thank you, each of you, who have served our country in whatever capacity. You are worthy of honor. God bless you.

  • very moving..well done! GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!

  • this is a testiment to all us soilders past and present keep on doin what your doin and come back safelly

  • thanks guys. i sing this song for a living as a street musician, thinking about my platoon of air force dads, none of whom was the sailor home on leave that begat me. no greater family has ever loved on earth than the american service family.

  • I think this is a great Tribute for a Soldier that his life lost for a better World.God bless the troops, everywhere!Congratulations from Brazil

  • My tour of duty in Iraq ended on 4 Feb 2004 after ariving in Baghdad on 1 May 03. I was an Assistant Battalion Surgeon and saw personally the bravery of the medics and Medical Corps in caring for these heroes. God Bless you all. May you come home safe and sane.

  • i've watched this video at least a hundred times and havn't commented yet. I've been in the infantry, the transportation corps, and now that i've had some help from VA mental health i'm ready to be a combat medic. My biological family might still hate me but my real family's in Iraq.

  • yeah, I know what you mean... you have all my respect.

  • I love you.You are a patriot. We all need you. I watch it alot too even tho Im not a soldier I spend alot of time worrying about you guys and my respect cant be measured

  • Semper Fi, Brother...

    You'll always have us...

  • es preciosa,te pone los veyos de punta.

  • my sincerest respect to all of you

you are always included in my prayers

may The God Almighty Bless you always and keep you safe

  • "Land of Song!" sang the warrior bard

"Tho' all the world betray thee,

One sword, at least, thy rights shall guard,

And one faithful harp shall praise thee!"

Freedom, liberty, goodness... these are never free. They are bought with blood.

I can't get away from this song. Something about it cuts me to the bone. I pray every day for you and your comrades, armynurseboy. God bless you.

  • I think what a lot of people who post intelligent thought provoking comments fail to realise is that soldiers are just like you and me. They are hard working salt of the earth people. And to say they are fighting for JUST oil is like saying to someone who works in any factory is they are working for just car parts or fashion clothing. Why is it that people don't support these hard workers like they do the civilian workers ?

  • I agree with you mostly. I still think its important for us to recognize that the point of the war, the goal devised by our rulers, is oil. I make a point to never say "I support the troops." Its a stupid, empty, meaningless catch phrase. I respect the troops. I recognize their neccessity. But they are being misused, and I stand by that statement even if someone finds it offensive, though most of the soldiers/marines I've met don't.

  • You know, I do understand that we're there, at least in part, because of oil. I get that. Just out of curiosity, do you own a car?

Second, if I remember right, we were also supposedly there for WMDs. Now, the media have said that they didn't find any, but I've heard soldiers say that we've found evidence of bio and chem weapons, just not nuclear. Didn't we learn that lesson already? That something doesn't have to give off an atomic explosion to be a weapon of mass destruction?

  • I don't except myself from guilt, of course I'm part of the problem, we all are, driving around on an energy source controlled in large part by people who hate us. I'd much rather see the trillion dollars put into a new deal type sustainable energy program, but I'm not quite that naive.

I don't care if Saadam had a full functioning nuclear bomb. I'm pretty sure we'd have him beat on that. I'm criticizing the ass-backwards barroom brawl mentality that got us there in the first place.

  • If it's not one thing, it's another. The brawl mentality you speak of is perpetuated by the hawks in our government, not necessarily by our soldiers. But here's another problem: Al-Qaida was emboldened by the weakness our dove minded government showed in 1993 Somalia. This should be a lesson in governmental extremism, and their unwillingness to consider consequences, NOT of the IQ or worth of the US military, especially on a video showing the heroism of MEDICS!!! You're just missing the point.

  • The Minstrel Boy was written by Thomas Moore (1779-1852) who set it to the melody of The Moreen, and old Irish aire. It is believed by many that Moore composed the song as a memorial to several of his friends he had met while a student at Trinity College and who had participated in the 1798 rebellion of the United Irishmen. One died in prison, another was wounded, and a third captured and hung. Due to its popularity, the song was a favorite of the many Irishmen who fought during the U.S.Civil War

  • Thank you for the info! That's the kind of stuff ppl should be talking about, and not the shyte. And thanks for the name of the melody, too. I'd forgotten.

  • Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

    Less talk, more thanks.

What heart it must take to serve these days, when all people seem to want to do is talk. Thank you so much. God bless you.

  • you guys just dont get it.

  • i can't keep black hawk down out my head

  • Yes they did and Jappy is a little slappy

  • hey japy has has his opinion i respect that. hes just making a point. and im ok with that. but i cant think of a beater song to go with this video they did a great job.

  • this song is a good memorial song for fallen soldiers i like it.

  • good video yea, is a great song but the only thing is the song has relievance to Irish people and Irish fighters, and ur video contains american soldiers, and i know that sum irish people join the american army and fight but still, the song goes well but not with any points, is irish and about irish independance, just cause it was used in black hawk down doesn't mean it can be used on a regular basis for the american army. don't take me across wrong i ain't mocking anything, and don't intend on.

  • Listen to the words. Yeah, it was originally an Irish folk song, but the essence of the song really is about fighting and sacrificing for you freedom. That is not limited to any particular nationalilty nor ethnic group. Besides, many songs in the US military have Irish roots. The official song of the US Cavalry is "Gerry Owen", which was an Irish drinking song. What does that have to do with cavalry? Absolutely nothing....except that Custer like the way it sounded and adopted it.

  • yea i no wat the song is about. fighting for your freedom and idependence and that we would rather wreck our own stuff than give them up. yea freedom key word which has nothing got to do with americans fighting in iraq. most of your fighting for your indepence was helped by irish people as we were a big influence both then and ri through the years, thats why the songs were adopted!

  • don't take me up wrong don't mean any disrespect yea as i said in the first comment. your american yea?

  • "yea freedom key word which has nothing got to do with americans fighting in iraq"

When was the last time you were in Iraq....?

  • Fair balls to all the soldiersover their and all i mean no respect to any1 over there or that has been over there.

I wasn't therefor the simple reason i cumfrom a country that doesn't sent their troops on false pretenses. the troops over there are doing the best they can and all.

  • And which country would that be?

  • Ireland

  • Yeah, the micks will fight for anything...for freedom, or to take somebody else's away, as long as they get to cap somebody...

  • I agree with armynurseboy. It sounds nice, and fighting for freedom can be directed more toward Americans now, than it can for any other nation, anyway.

  • That's really cool NOT. Revert to the 'oil' theory. We obviously did something right seeing as the people of Iraq BEAT Saddam's face with their shoes, and decided to hang him once we caught him. He was a bad man. No one gets 100% votes in their country for good reasons. The world is a better place without him in control of anything. And by the way, America doesn't just fight for it's own freedom, it fights for other countries' freedom, too.

  • yea saddam had to b takin down yea all nd well. if ya did so much for d people y are yous are troops bein killed on a daily basis by the people yous "freed". like who? yas only go in to take wat yous need nd get the bonus of military bases there to retain that, nd "free" the people to make it look like thats what yas where gonna do. who did yous free, that had nothin in it for america??

  • Again Jappyl, when was the last time you spent time in Iraq? I spent a year of my life there. I actualy understand WHY some folks there didn't like us. I actually understand WHY some praised GOD the day we rolled over the border. The 'truth' is not so easy as a CNN soundbite....

  • I was an active duty Marine. Today is our birthday. God bless all you Doc's!!!! Semper-Fi!

  • Support the troops, not the war.

    MAHI TAHI KIA KAHA!

  • Abu Masaab Al-Zarqawi, may he burn in hell

  • Thank you for all you do and have done.

  • Love the Medics

  • Major Labrador and Captain Soper, you have produced a masterpiece. The song, the images and the final quote are very moving. Great job.

  • Excellent video. Very touching.

  • execellent video!!!!.

  • Excellent work. The troops deserve more respect then they seem to get these days.

  • the troops pown my uncle is a proud marine! he served for 3 years over in iraq beat the crap outa sadams men. god bless the troops! marines ftw!!!!!!!!

  • screw the politicians, God Bless the troops who give their lives because of cowardly politicians.

To any soldier in the world who died believing in a cause, we will always remember you.

  • Honour and peace to the fallen; our respect and support for the troops that fight on.

  • God Bless the troops.

  • Thank you for making this.
