I always buy 2 of something one to display and one to put away. U got to go to these places in brooklny and Queens they are these chinese stores that sell odd stuff bootleg stuff but if you look in the back they have good transformers stuff and Marvel stuff too check them out. There like little mom & pop stores
@aries0083 I buy multiple figures when I get in an army builder customizing mood. Then I realized that space for storage or display of these figures cost more than the figures themselves as I live in Woodside NY and pay $900 a month in rent for a small studio. I would buy two of the same figures if I display the packaged figure and played with the opened packaged figure. Also I have s few duplicate action figures for my cubicle at work which I have at home as well. :) Thanks !
For myself, I will pickup two of a figure if I really like it. For example, I picked up two Arcees, two Bludgeons, and two Drifts.
One day, I want hang my mint-in-package deluxe TFs and action figures on my wall. So one loose figure for display on my shelf, and one figure displayed in its plastic prison on my wall.
But I will only buy duplicates if I love the figure, or I think I can sell the other figure on eBay for a profit.

I've been getting most of my Marvel Universe off Ebay. Lots of the time I've paid $20 or $25 for four. I've already filled a shelf with them.

@Prime92 I've seen it! :) Ebay is a good place to get loose figures.

@likeits1985 There is something appealing about seeing a figure in package, if it's well done.
