I do a lot of fostering too and I think I had the same person comment on mine about how cruel I was to take the babies from the mother, etc. LOL Tried to explain but they just want to be negative. @Lakis177 It is the mother who left them or abandoned them. Someone found the litter of kittens and brought it to the Humane Society to help them. They then called us to care for them until they are a bit older to be adopted.

No one took any kittens away from their mother. :-)

Hello ppl , i have a stray cat tat i have been taking care of every since she arrived with another baby cat tat seemed to b 6 months old. Anyways she has had another litter an had 2 baby kittens about 4 weeks old like this video. They live under our neighbors house an keept coming out. I placed a cardboard thing to have only the mom come out but not the babies. To my point now is that if any one could help out an give me some advice to care for them,food,vet, etc. Please contact me if u can :]

We've got 2 orphans, 3 weeks old now (ones a runt).They're named Garfield (the greedy fat one) and Babette (she is the runt) and I couldn't imagine being without them !!!

I love this, I had some very tiny unweened kittens dumped in my back yard once. I remember the specially prepared lactose free milk feed at 3 hour intervals during the night. It was hard work! Well done to you. x

there is no way that these are 4 weeks old. i was just with a whole bunch of 3 week old and 2 day kittens and they could barely walk

Actually, you bring a good point. We picked them up from the shelter when they were 4 weeks old, and the first clip (in the bathroom, or the first 40 seconds of the video) was taken on their very first day at home, so there, they were 4 weeks. But the other clips in this video were taken throughout their stay with us, until they were approx. 8 weeks old (not shown in the video -- they were huge!) so maybe they were 5 weeks old in other parts of the video.

And babies learn new things every day!

@bricenpunk13 i have 4 week old kittens and just a week ago they were learning to walk.. they change greatly within the first 6 weeks of being born.. instead of whinging.. read it up on google.. they learn to walk at 3 weeks to 4 weeks. 5 weeks they are running and jumping.

I also foster for a cat rescue organization and everybody wants to see the kittens. So I made my first video, but it is by far not as much fun as this one. I cant believe that was your first video- with background music and everything. What editing software did you use? Any other tips you can give me?

As for the editing, I just used the Windows Movie Maker (the one that came with my computer, you could probably download it for free). It's pretty simple to use, you drag and drop the clips, the effects, the titles, the music... and voila!

For a sick cat with URI, the length of foster care is about 3 weeks. These kittens were 4 weeks old when we got them, and I think we had to keep them for about 4-5 weeks. So they were about 2 months old when we returned them.

No worries, when they got older we brought them back to the shelter where they got spayed and neutered and a nice family adopted them :)
