  • Nice Video guys, thanks

  • I never get tired of this one! I worked security for 10 years before I joined the Marine Corps and let me tell you, these skills were invaluable when dealing with folks who need a little "persuasion". ;)

  • I never get tired of this one!

  • nice flow...

  • This fighting method now introduced as sport martial arts, found its way to other parts of the globe and attracted some disciples in the US. While it gained popularity elsewhere, it is now a dying craft to the streets where it born. Thanks to the introduction & patronization of Chinese martial arts being popularized by Golden Harvest movies, dumog is now never heard in Iloilo.

  • But in original dumog, aside from punching, kicking, or knee & elbow strike, or gripping & paralyzing nerves, or blocking air passage, or dislocating & breaking neck, leg, arm, & joints; dirty blows like biting, scratching, head butt, pulling of hair, draw out of eyeballs, or squeezing your opponents testicles could be employed as tactics in defensive fighting. A well-trained dumogero can execute these dirty tactics effectively.

  • But unlike kali or eskrema, dumog or pangamut is solely a bare hand fighting technique. Dumog or “pangamut” is to pin down, cripple, or neutralize your armed or unarmed opponent without using your knife, arnis sticks, bolo, machete, or any other assault weapons.

  • FYI

“Dumog” is a Hiligaynon term literally means street brawl or street dirty fighting. “Pangamut” means hand to hand or closed body combat. Both are the same techniques, this method was introduced & practiced by Ilonggos from Visayas & Mindanao Philippines. It is said that there used to be a lot of dumog backyard arena in plenty of villages & regular dumog tournament in most festivals.

  • Caleb We love watching those moves. Nice work.

    Your fans from Rhode Island

  • Caleb is the one with the whiskers. He's a resilient dude for taking all those hits and takedowns.

  • Bro! your doing a Good job in promoting Filipino Martial Arts. I'm a Fil-am and American by birth but my heart is w/ my fellow Filipinos. I represent the system of Suntokaran Todo Bakbakan(STB) under Punong Guro Jhun Pecaoco. He teach Filipino Weaponry and combining it w/ Street MMA. But make no mistake were quite successful in tournament MMA back in the P.I. having won several Championships using Dumog as our standing grappling. Keep promoting! More Power!

  • Hell yeah! Thanks for the props! All the best in your training and your group!

    -Daniel Arola

  • Hey DonJuan. Nice stuff. I'm a PI-based FMA practitioner. Although we have totally different backgrounds in FMA systems, the Dumog I teach is virtually identical to what you just showed in terms of manipulation, etc. Hahahaha. Never been to the US, never studied any other style of FMA other than LSAI/LESKAS. My only other grappling background is Judo and this ain't Judo. That's proof enough that Dumog/FMA-based grappling is a distinct grappling approach altogether. Mabuhay!

  • Always gotta be haters. Nice job DanjuanDesiga keep promoting the FMA and ignore the haters.

  • Always a pleasure to watch, those of us who study your native art understand what you are doing- even the American adaptations. The beauty of this art is that you can make it your own, but it starts from somewhere. Thank you for sharing with us all. Best Regards.

  • ang tanging flip dito ay ikaw at si leo gaje. pareho kayo manloloko. is this what you scumbag call training and teaching? puro kasi gullible ang mga kano easy target para sa mga walang trabahong ofw na katulad mo!

  • I have no shame for what I have to offer to my students and those interested in our country's martial art. You're whining like a little "bakla" in Tagalog all over some stupid term I decided to adapt in order to have a name to use to describe a certain range in the Arnis curriculum. You may say I'm wrong for using it, and I may agree with you, but that's just too late. It's already happened, "bini-boi". As someone once said, "It's only a name. Please don't fuss over it."

  • That someone was Bruce Lee in reference to the name "Jeet Kune Do." =)

  • stop fooling the americans, man. no such shit in our country. mahiya ka naman!

  • kiss my ass you stupid Flip. I don't train and teach for your approval. Go home and play with your ball or something.

  • no such thing...

  • that's too bad. It exists now.

  • wow...thank you, you put me in your credits.

  • you know it bro!

  • lame

  • I dig it dan!

  • nice as always!

  • Super!

    Good job!

    Regards!! V
