How many great NFL running backs have had careers shortened by knee injuries, boxers sometimes never recover from grueling fights. It happens, but he was still one of the greats.

Im a fan of Ovechkin too, but im also a realist and a fan of hockey in general and i think you should consider that Crosby compares quite well with Ovechkin. Crosby is a very consistent player, take this season for instance. Whenever he plays a full season he has more than 100 pts and this season for some reason Ovechkin has choked out completely. I really hope Ovechkin gets his scoring touch back.

@gagnondp He doesn`t have a Cup, and thats what matters if your a hockey player. I don`t think he is more skilled then Crosby, or vice versa. They play different styles. Its like Wayne Gretzky vs Messier. One is smart and more of a playmaker, the other is a relentless goal scorer with a dirty side.

Im a fan of Ovechkin too, but im also a realist and a fan of hockey in general and i think you should consider that Crosby compares quite well with Ovechkin. Crosby is a very consistent player, take this season for instance. Whenever he plays a full season he has more than 100 pts and this season for some reason Ovechkin has choked out completely. I really hope Ovechkin gets his scoring touch back.

And statistics show what?!!?! How crosby was sitting on the bench for almost the entire playoff season because his coach didn't want him fucking up.
