Time changes everything my pointy headed friend. A lot of other teams in the Big 12 are starting to pick up players that OU would have gotten back in the days of the Big 8. They're still putting out good teams but it's easy to see the downward trend in their recruiting. The Sooners aren't dominating teams nearly as much as they were even 7 years ago.
Sam Bradford? He's like almost every other OU quarterback. Looks great when surrounded by blue chip players but when they go to the pros and get put into a situation where the talent around them is a lot more closely aligned with the other team, they fall and fall hard. Kinda like Josh Heupel and Jason White. OU fans all but guaranteed these two would be NFL hall of famers but where are they now?

Time changes everything my pointy headed friend. A lot of other teams in the Big 12 are starting to pick up players that OU would have gotten back in the days of the Big 8. They're still putting out good teams but it's easy to see the downward trend in their recruiting. The Sooners aren't dominating teams nearly as much as they were even 7 years ago.

Sam Bradford? He's like almost every other OU quarterback. Looks great when surrounded by blue chip players but when they go to the pros and get put into a situation where the talent around them is a lot more closely aligned with the other team, they fall and fall hard. Kinda like Josh Heupel and Jason White. OU fans all but guaranteed these two would be NFL hall of famers but where are they now?

It's easy to sit back and play catch when you're payrolled 5 star recruits on that O-Line are twice as good as anyone else's and you get little or no pressure. OU lost to two teams that Daniel lit up big time. They were short two of their offensive starters. That's the excuse they use so I suppose if it's okay for them it's okay for us. I'll buy it. Coffman was one of our guys that wasn't playing and he had a hell of a game against OU the first time out.
Mizzou played well enough to beat two teams that are in BCS bowl games so they are certainly not overrated. You don't keep up on college ball much apparently.
