  • @specops2087

    Nice video man,

Do you daily youre S? Im thinking about getting Invidia...

  • Sounds very nice..I've decided to get exhaust for my S2000...pretty set on Invidia..Question though..what model Invidia is this?.. N1, V2, V3, V4, Q300...not sure of all the models.....Thankyou

  • i had a s2k once sold it and regret doin tht, had the same exhaust, it only annoywed me cuz it drew alot of attention for the cops, but it sounded beautiful so it was worth it

  • PLEASE BE WARY IF THINKING OF BUYING THIS EXHUAST! I recently purchased one and am going to get it removed asap. The drone is ridiculous. After 5-10 mins of driving i had a headache - no joke! I have had to fit the baffles which ruin the look for the time being. I am into sports exhuasts but this is very extreme. You have been warned!

  • everyone is different when it comes to noise

i've been runnign a buddy club spec 2 for a good 3+ months already and doing well.

for me only after a few hours of str8 hearing it gets bothersome.

  • A test pipe is a good way to get rid of some of the drone.

  • how noticable are the silencers when they are in? do they quit it down much?

  • I love the sound of this exhaust...

  • sounds goooood

  • nice Juliets, i have the green lenses in mine....and a sliver s2k too...good taste

  • N1 sound i like the s2000

  • Sounds like a scooby at low rpm :P

  • it weights 27.5 pounds according to one of the members on s2ki who weighed his. Maybe other exhausts do but this exhaust has proven time and time again to be a good buy for the price according to the forums. I'm getting mine in about 2 weeks if all goes well XD!!!!

  • This is one of the few dual exhausts that does actually gain horsepower (though not much), I have a dyno to prove it ;)

  • so yeah guys dont buy into the hype of these aftermarket parts for sophisticated race designed cars like the s2000 Integra type R or even the rsx. these cars were built to be fast and competitive unlike the earlier model Hondas that made great gains from aftermarket parts like exhausts because back then Honda was not as race inspired and more concerned with fuel efficiency. I have seen dynos prove this over and over again for the s2000. Just a warning to my fellow Honda owners

  • Yeah I guess it sounds cool and all but I hope you did a before and after dyno because a lot of s2000 owners have been losing horsepower to aftermarket parts like this. Also some of these exhausts weigh more than the stock exhaust. This car was designed to be a racer and build by Hondas racing team they are far smarter then these aftermarket companys.

  • i like also stock exaust..

have you increment your performance with invidia? if yes, how much?

    thanks

  • probably 5hp. It's not much though -- I did it for the sound more then anything

  • thanks a lot

  • great video!! And i love the sound of the S2000 i think its the best sounding honda. If i ever get my hands one one this will be the exhaust i choose.

  • Ever heard an NSX?

  • Which invidia exhaust system is this? and do you have an intake on your car?

  • It's the V2 system

  • With the invida exhaust , is there still the middle resonator ?

Or straight pipe + invidia mufflers ?

    Thanks for the info !

  • The invidia system comes with a resonator

  • I agree, well put together video and I like how you include a bunch of cockpit footage as well. Very comprehensive and well done!

  • this is the best comparison video on youtube thankyou!!!

  • Is this the loudest legal exhaust I could get my hands on for a s2k?

  • Any aftermarket exhaust is illegal even if it is CARB certified technically, though if it is CARB certified you probably won't have a problem.

  • what state you in? i think for cali they hold your rpm at 3-5k somewhere around there and if you dont pass 95db it will be withen legal sound limits.

it should be legal if you pass smog, i legally smogged with my greddy evo and passed

now i have an apexi n1 catback

i have a teg btw not a s2k but sound limit and passing smog is exactly the same

and i've dont think i heard of a exhaust that had a "carb certified" sticker or stamp lol

  • Like the guy said all aftermarket exhausts are illegal if you look closely at any packaging that comes with exhaust it says for "off -road " use only

  • the 09's are the last ones

  • wow, it sounded awesome with no exhaust...kinda like my car (I have an srt4 with dump exhaust). Car sounds good with that invidia exhaust. Anything else done to it?

  • Nope just the exhaust in this video

  • Thanks a lot for this great comparison. Now i have a better idea what the Invidia sounds like on the s2k. I was going to go Apex'i n1 but now that ive heard a good exhaust clip of the Invidia, i know that its just as good and its a dual setup so it doesn't have that "unfinished" look that the Apex'i N1 has.

  • NiCe Ap1!!! S2Ki METRO!!!

  • omg WOT sounds sooo godly on this! i want one! will i fit if im 6'4?

  • I'm 6'2 and I fit with a couple inches of clearance so should be fine.

  • ok cool, thanks!

  • i need someone smart to keep me entertained

why cant i see the video cE

  • Not too keen on the visual mods of your S2K but this was one hell of a useful video! Thanks a lot fot that!

  • lol i like how right at the end how he says wait till he revs it...n then he says one hundrvrrroooomm n he jumps...u can tell by the way the camera shakes...haha...nice car man...its my dream car

  • great vid, picking mine up on Wednesday. Bit harder to source in the UK!

  • Great comparison man! This definitely helped me out!

Can you tell me how much you paid for your exhaust?

    Thanks

  • What Invidia is this? V1? 3?

  • V2 I believe

  • amazing video...

but how the car peels after the invidia?

    faster? more torque?

    better top speed?

    thank u..

  • great video favorited

  • Sounds pretty good man. But I would love to hear what the 2.2L S2k would sound like with that setup.

  • i still prefer the stock exhaust

  • Dude! You look exactly like the guy on Deadliest Catch on the Cornelia Marie boat. Oh and i have this exhaust. Its freakin loud when cruising. It sounds really good after 5k rpm though.

  • good comparison video man.

  • Is this the invidia titanium tips exhaust? they say its a 70mm and U say 64mm... would it sound the same? or close?

  • There are (now) two versions, a 64mm and a 70mm version. At the time of this video, there was only the 64mm version.

  • at 2:30 where in nj is that?

  • Hey I got that same Alpine deck!

  • Hey man thanx for picking the honda s2000 for the comparison. they are really cool cars and awsome exhaust notes.

  • Bad ass video man...

  • i gotta give this video propz....thanx for showing this!

  • ok man plz tell me everythin about this exhaust, i want my car to sound exactly like it, u said it was the v2 rite? what site did u order it from cuz i cant find a v2 for an ap1 n e where theres a n1 though, and wats the 62mm stand for piping or testpipe? basically im asking if i get an n1 will it sound the same as this one? along w/ my other questions :) thanks bro

  • lovin the exhuast i would like to get one but is that aloowed by law cuz it is so loud

  • Thanks for the vid, cause of this im definetly going to get this set for my ap1.

  • 5 stars dude. This is the most informative comparison video of cars ive ever seen by someone not working for a magazine company

  • Thanks, I appreciate the comment =)

  • Good job on the vid. Very informative. Thanks!

  • I <3 Drone!

  • very good video thanks for doing it man!

  • Very well done video, thanks. Sounds great, BTW.

I just fear it'll be highly illegal :( (at least here in europe/austria)

  • what type of invidia is that?

  • 62mm

  • N1, GT300? or what?

  • When I bought it, there wasn't any type so I couldn't tell you. As far as I know, they all sound the same regardless of type.

  • sound like bike, nice

  • Great sound on those honda engines. Very well done the video!

  • keep the exhaust mate, it sounds fucking UN-BLOODY BELIEVBLE!!! great vid mate!

  • do you have a test pipe on yours?

  • In this video, no.

  • omg man, thank you for making this video! :) Can't wait to get mine!

  • Great job with the comparison video guys! Well done.

  • Great sound + greeeaaat comparison :-)

  • Cool vid! Check out my s2k video ;)

  • i think i've got the same one....whats the model,

mine is a loud moth** ****er, cant hear the passenger while stepping on it.

    great comparison

  • Do you have to have the silencers in the exhaust when driving or can you leave them out? Also what is the exact model of this exhaust?

  • I left them out, the loudness never bothered me. Its the Invidia V2 Exhaust. I think now they are selling the "V3" which is ~72mm.

  • awesome sound

  • hey man, what kind of eyelids are those? i want them for my s2k!

  • this is the god of comparison for an exhaust! VERY well done. im ordering mine RIGHT NOW!

  • how much is the invidia exhaust sysstem?

  • Wow, if only ever exhaust video was as comprehensive as this one. Good job!

  • nice comparison video.. what i like in the 2 line exhausts that it doesnt sound like those single cam hondas..though a one line exhaust on an s2000 would be much better..but thanks for the video really helps.

  • I'm new to the mod scene. Does modifying the exhaust do anything besides alter the tone and decibel range? Does it enhance the car's performance?

  • Yes depending on the exhaust, it will add horsepower and torque but if its to large you might loose some hp/tq down low in the rpm range.

  • A that is new to me too, so you have to think what do you want(torque or high speed)?

  • is this a v2 or v3?

  • specops2087, What have you done with your headlights and where do i buy it? They are awsome!

  • At the time of the video, I had eyelids on the headlights, C-West makes a pair for the s2000.

  • awesome comparison video, i just picked up a s2000 two weeks ago, and my invidia v3 dual exhaust will hopefully be here in a week

your video was crucial in helping me decide

    thanks!

  • Nice video. Been watching S2000 videos (planning on picking one up) and this is probably the most thorough stock vs. aftermarket comparison I have seen. Do you have dyno charts that show gains on the invidia? Seems like it at least gives of a good tone.

  • Unfortunatly no before after dyno charts from me personally.

  • Very nice, how did you measure the Decibels?

Too bad invidias are not allowed here in Germany, it's extremely complicated & expensive to drive them legally.

  • I happen to own a decibel meter.

  • nice video did you had cats at last one the one you did with no exhaust ... or did you just removed silencers ?? Thanks

  • It was open header, aka no catback exhaust. In no part of the video did I use the silencers.

  • would it be too loud if i cancel just last 2 silencers and use it with cat and middle silencer ?

ps: There is a cat and a middle silencer right or after headers is there only cat and 2 rear silencer..

    thanks :)

  • there is a silencer for each exhaust pipe and a built in resonator right after the cat that is perminate. The entire video is WITHOUT the two silencers so you decide if it would be too loud =)

  • NİCEEE :D

  • thats not that loud for open headers

  • Indeed a GREAT video. I love the invidia Exhaust. Sounds great!

  • I really like invidia exhaust systems, real deep sound, they sound great on 350Z/G35.

  • Damn that would have to be the best sounding muffler for the S2K out of all the other ones I've heard.

  • Thanks! =)

  • Why have you chosen Honda S2000, why not like Eclipse or Supra and so on ?

  • Supras, that were not beat up, in good condition, and low miles are hard to find and overpriced (IMO) FWIW. I don't like eclipse's personally. I wanted a fun, go-kart like, fast, convertiable and thats what I got :)

  • Very nice :) i like just Honda and Ferrari, no other cars if i can choose. btw not thinking of any other upgrades ?

  • My car is currently turbocharged making 420rwhp :)

  • is that a ricks custom S badge?

  • yep

  • damn thats a real nice comparison!!! awsome ..and that cat-back system is hella loud!

  • incubus and blink 182 where on the radio just thought you would want to know lol

  • whats in the 2000 a four, five cylinder? just wondering. Sound pretty good for what ever it is.

  • Inline 4

  • what did honda do to the 2000 to make it so quick?

  • Vtec, 9k redline, aggressive final gear ratio just to name a few.

  • That review was jive! I'm 33 and I thought the Invidia sounded smooth... just enough bass to sound good but not so much that it is pretending to be a V8 or big block. Great job!

Looks like your deck was an alpine system, did you not get the kit to use the car's controls by the steering wheel (aka remote control)?

  • Yeah I have the steering wheel controls working using a DCI.

  • yeh, i dont wants a ricey ass exhaust review by a cracker hahah

  • i obviously haven't heard it live.

  • GREAT review! Thanks!

  • dam bro! thats a good ass review!

  • Thanks for that bro nice work on the video. Very detail. I like how you had controls for everything.

  • Need more exhaust comparisons like these, nice work!

  • Exhaust was 600 shipped. At the time, the car was around 32k.

  • That sounded sexy man. How much did you pay for the car? How much for the exhuast??

  • N1, they do not make a G200 type exhaust for the s2k

  • is that a G200 model or an N1 model?

  • what else did you do to it other than the exhaust?

  • The exhaust was the only thing I changed in the car from one video to the other

  • I have the same Exhaust!! Iam in england best sounding exhaust for the S2000 I have found the drone range between 3000rpm -3750 rpm on my MY2000 car

  • I'm 19, nothing is too loud...yet :)

  • I have the same Exhaust!! Iam in england best sounding exhaust for the S2000 I have found the drone range between 3000rpm -3750 rpm on my MY2000 car

  • dont you find it abit TOO noisy ?

  • Informative.
