What I love most about Malcolm is how he challenged his listeners/followers. Knowledge is power. To fix such a problem you have to teach the truth to people. That's what MLK did, he didn't order that they retaliate. He spoke the truth and spoke sense into a great many more whites than Malcom X would have had killed.
He is not entirely negative, he was telling the truth of how society was at that time. MLK spoke into the future, telling people to hope and strive for a better tomorrow and while that's all fine and good it doesn't fix the issues of today. Malcolm spoke on how to fix the issues of the day. He didn't call for the murder of whites, he just wanted blacks to stand up for themselves and if it meant killing whites because one was trying to kill you then so be it.

So much of what Malcolm X preached back in the 60's is so applicable to the USA today it's not even funny! And I am not a black person nor am I a Muslim. He definitely has a message that is about equality and human rights. Just wonder what it would have been like if he were around today? People like him, Martin Luther kind Jr and Che Guevara and others are much needed in these times if you ask me. But one good thing we still have their messages to learn from.

He spoke LOUD & publicly, where others spoke quietly amongst themselves OR in peaceful protests. Knowledge is power. To fix such a problem you have to teach the truth to people. That's what MLK did, he didn't order that they retaliate. He spoke the truth and spoke sense into a great many more whites than Malcom X would have had killed.

He is not entirely negative, he was telling the truth of how society was at that time. MLK spoke into the future, telling people to hope and strive for a better tomorrow and while that's all fine and good it doesn't fix the issues of today. Malcolm spoke on how to fix the issues of the day. He didn't call for the murder of whites, he just wanted blacks to stand up for themselves and if it meant killing whites because one was trying to kill you then so be it.

MLK's base was cowardice.He used Ghandi as an excuse to justify that.He created a culture in black men in particular, whereby they'd be so afraid, so timid, it has permeated through the generations.Black men who actully believe it's a divine ORDER to be non-violent to whites ONLY.This has created in effect, an effeminization in black men on 1 hand, and an internal aggression vs. other blacks on the other hand.

excellent analysis ! Although MLK's strategy was cowardice integration and assimilation, he started getting giving up on it and started to become militant and then the government killed him. Nevertheless, i think his non-violent approach has done blacks extreme damage up until this very day. However, I believe MLK was beginning to regret the non-violence ideology and started to get closer to Malcolm X's stance of self-defense and revolution.

it's interesting, ur view of king, which i have to give some thought.if you notice today, black men in "power", who r essentially the spiritual inheritors of MLK,have completely acquiessed to the effeminizaton/homosexualization mentacide that afflicts us today,and that INCLUDES Obama. Yea MLK spoke the truth, sensationalized. MLK didnt order retaliation. "Hatred destroys, wisdom and forgiveness endures" Turn the other cheek and love your oppressor, is what MLK instilled. Then "they" put a bullet in MLK's head. Malcom wanted freedom by any means necessary. They murdered him. MLK wanted freedom, peacefully. They put a bullet in his head. Wake up.

Malcolm x was completely right and i suport everything he said but there is one problem, human nature has always been divisive and always looking for ways to supress another culture,race,religion etc so the point is: If blacks had the power and money in the u.s.
they would be doing excatly the same thing whites do on minorities, and let me remind you white folk, black folk are never going to stop crying racism untill they either kill u or have their boot on your neck.

dewayne408: Malcolm X was really, really pissed off by what he had seen in L.A. and so was tired of applause when what he wanted was action. People would always applaud his words but wouldn't back it up with action....things haven't changed much!

If Obama would run on a platform equal to the commitment of MalcolmX than he could get the majority of the black vote away from Hilary. But he won't and no one else will either. There is no courage to be found when we all need it most.

Well you know, I have been thinking for a long time whether I have the courage or not? The problem I have always had after growing up in the 70's was to see Malcolm with his position of [protect ourselves at any cost]and Martin with his non-violent means, and then to witness where we are today with more black on black violence than any whiteman could ever do to us?

If we black people would just clean ourselves up than cleanup our communities, than form a united front to present truth and standup to power and expose them for the liars and satan worshippers that they are, then I would stand with my brothers in truth knowing that some of us will be killed in a good cause, but the future generations would be free to live in peace never to turn our backs on the truth again!

YOU DO NOT TO know the reason why he speaks like this, or you just want to ignore it, MX did not wake up in society who was treating his people fairly, and started to made up of this story, the racism against the black in America is a historical fact, so even if you do not agree with his approach to the injustice inflected on them, you must admit and think about the reason that led him to speak like this. Our "leaders" have no backbone. They only want to please everyone in order to keep power. They refuse to stand on any type of principals. I respect a person like david duke who I don't agree with his priciples but I respect that he stands on them. You'll never catch him when he believes that the cameras are off saying something that goes against what he publicly stands for. Thats why I voted for Bush in 2004, he may have been wrong but he stuck by his decisions until the ship sank.
