PCRM is not endorsed by the ADA. In fact it is highly criticized by ADA. In addition to that, DR Barnard is not a nutritionist, but a psychiatrist who is the "medical advisor" to PETA who is in turn linked to many violent terrorist organizations(deemed by the FBI) who try to literally fight for the so-called"animals rights"
On the contrary, hankandu, PCRM's President, Dr. Barnard, is a published researcher with impeccable medical credentials. His 2006 NIH-funded study compared the effects of a low-fat vegan diet with that of the standard diabetes diet promoted by the American Diabetes Association.
Dr. Barnards findings that a vegan diet is more effective than the ADA's dietary guidelines at controlling blood sugar were, in fact, published in the August 2006 issue of Diabetes Care, the journal of the ADA.
PCRM is a great organization but they can't do it all alone, come on people! go to their website and volunteer for them, donate money (it does not matter if it is not much), become vegetarian, or put them in your myspance,Hi5 or facebook, create a website or a blog that will inform people about them.
Come on! every little effort you can think off will help them and make them stronger! Do it for the animals we ALL love and care and are at this time, being abused in laboratories!
Last time I checked, a hippie was a joint smoking dirtbag that lived in a van. Eating what grows from earth is the best thing for uS,as science and technology expand, we see the effects proccessed foods have on us.Food created by man has been refined of its nutrtional value, its cheap &mass produced so companys make$. But really, if people are against it, they are being unbeneficial to themselves, &health, &sure animals, but your health should be first.I guess it takes ALOT of balls to change.
If you want to criticize this organization, that is your ignorant mistake. However, PCRM is about taking a different path in medical progression instead of spending millions of dollars in taxpayers' money to repeat the same shit, the same crappy advice and expecting different results. It's time for change.
Let me guess, you heard this from CCF who are out to protect big tobacco and meat companies? PCRM is an organization that promotes healthier diets and compassionate, helpful alternatives to animal research. They use statistics done by studies from doctors that prove the health benefits of a plant-based diet, along with proving that animal experimentation hinders the progress of finding cures for human diseases by giving deceptive results.
Doctors spew propaganda, but meat commercials don't. Uh huh. I don't know what you mean by vegetarians taking steroids, but meat-eaters are consuming steroids that were fed to the animals. Pull your head out of your ass and open your eyes to the truth. Don't buy into corporate greed. Unless you really are as stupid as you sound.

PCRM is not even a real medical group. Only five percent of their goons have a medical degree!
