Just for a bit of fun I decided to video myself playing Mr Sandman played on my Telecaster. I have taught this at Aberdeen Uni and have told them that I took considerable inspiration from yourself! My version is slightly different but I hope you like it! tag "Andy Johnson Mr Sandman"
@naalar That's the truth. He's been a great inspiration to many guitar players, including you and me. I just started to learn this song. Hope I can play it as well as you.
I have decided to transcribe this version of the tune in notation/tab for my guitar students as we all really like it. It will be done on a sibelius music notation programme and I would really like to mention your arrangement ideas. If you are OK with this can I have your surname to put on? I teach in Aberdeen University Scotland and I think you have a fan club mate!
Hi lovely sound and great playing - is your guitar tuned down by a half step? I like the way you have adapted the piece so that it can be played solo.
Son!! I really, really like your playing. I have only recently attempted to learn this song and bud, is it kicking my keester!!!! I am crawling right now. Maybe in a month ai can walk. Then in a few months I can run (and play it at my gigs). THEN..maybe SOMEDAY...I can fly...and play like LARRY. Thanks so very much form making me smile! Been playing 30 years but have only recently attempted Chet. Again...thanks so much for taking the time to share with us.
Hi, Greetings from Denmark. I like your Great and cool Playingstyle. BTW; It looks as if youre plugged in directly to the Wall? Haha, Just Kidding, But which Amp do you use? It sounds Great! :-)
This instrumental rendition of the 'Chordetts' hit song just goes to show the intricacies in song writing that go on behind the the voices..Nice job..
I didn't think Mr. Atkins version could be improved upon. But you have done that and then some. And make it look so fluid and easy at the same time. True skill, your passion for playing really shows.

That it so cool that he plugs his guitar cable straight into the wall. He must have speakers in every room, so that everyone in the house can her him jam. My Mom has the same type of setup, only it's for a vacuum cleaner.
