i lived in shanghai for few years (before i came to america) i am impressed with the food and malls. i dont like how its so polluted.. the air can be bad.. at night the city is beautiful! im going back to shanghai in 4 months i cant wait:)
there are trees in shanghai. but, and, yes, the absolute mojority of people on this earth still pretend perfectly well that they are happy by convincing themselves they are happy living in carbon emitting, unsustainable disgusting city structures. the End of civilization as we know it is inevitable nonetheless.

As an American, I am excited about our new President we're getting on Jan 20th. Not only is He a smart man, he excepts everyone else to be smart too. Maybe now America will start catching up.
Shanghai is lovely at sunrise. Interesting skyline. The train is fantastic! Makes the UGLY and slow/short trip to Philly from my suburb even more embarrassing. America needs to catch up with Europe and Asia on the super train thing.

Oh yeah and your eyes on the Olympic torch video, sigh....
I really miss Shanghai and China when i watch this... I've been missing it everyday since returning home to europe 5 months ago after spending one month in china.
