I'd like to add that Simone announced very recently on her twitter page that she suffers from "reflux" which causes inflammation of the larynx. Simone is what causes me to love this band so much. I mean the guys are great but I wouldn't identify with the band like I do without Simone and her lovely voice!

People! Think a little bit. I am soprano / mezzosoprano and I can go up to C6, I grew covering Epica's songs, and let's face it - I sing a couple of years and still can manage that warmed up and in still position. She headbangs, dances, interacts with her fans, is ill, and sings like that at the same time! Don't be so hard on her.

She was sick yes, her voice was maybe not in "shape". But do you knew that most singers who are sick on tour cancel shows?

She didn't and she's putting lots of effort to sing the best she can.

simone has canceled shows in the past, or had another singer cover for her. But its perfectly understandable if you ask me. its not the genre where if you 're sick you can go on and perform. if you do that, it 'll either be a poor performance or you ll damage your chords even more, taking more time to recover, which will be even worse for the band as a whole to an utter extend. she's a professional, the best metal vocalist ever, and she's such an angel to see.

I don't understand what everyone is complaining about .... I'm a singer ... and let me tell you .... singing while your sick is one of the most difficult things!! you are already miserable and can barely breath and you need to sustain high notes and vibrato over and over. It makes you light headed and nauseous .... be thankful she sucked it up and got her ass out there for the fans, instead of canceling!! next time your sick try singing!! See if you can match what she does while she's sick!!
