Is diet and exercise REALLY all that radical a change?

What I consider radical is a 3rd world doctor cracking open my body and modifying my internal organs.

We had a woman at work get gastric sugery, she lost weight but ended up with malnutrition, had to get TPN (look it up, its nasty), and ended up retiring due to health problems.

I had a Lap Band placed by Dr. Huacuz on Dec. 1, 2008. I am a registered nurse. My Lap Band had to be removed 4 days later due to many infected fluid pockets in my abdomen. This rare organism was introduced into my abdomen in the OR in Mexico. Dr.H advised me to not even seek medical attention in the US, claiming I was making a big deal about nothing. PCOS -> Does NOT effect every over weight woman in the world, however it does effect a rather high percentage of women who try to have a baby. Bottom line? Weight CAN have an effect on CERTAIN woman who try to conceive. I am NOT saying over weight woman cant have children, all I am saying is that for some woman, weight can make it harder (or impossible) to conceive.

Like I said, research it, there are tons of books, websites, forums & groups dedicated to this health issue.

If you are super over weight you may have other issues such as PCOS and others, but if you are absolutely normal and overweight mostly you are able to have children. PCOS is a very common but not really educated disease that affects many women causing them to gain weight. PCOS is when cycts form in the eggs, generally your ovaries are covered in cysts. Some people only get PCOS in one of the other ovary, but most women get them all over. The cysts make it so an egg can not be developed.
