@headmouse even though that is true about lucky the dino. it is limited to the area where the controll tent is. i consider a full free range dino capible of going about the full park on its own without a controller puppeter being near by in a tent. a support crew can follow it around just incase somthing happens but other than that.

I see the person's legs behind the dinosaur legs...they're wearing black.

However, I'd think that if the person's upper body and head were in the dinosaur's head doing the movements...wouldn't that throw them off balance if their legs were way back there? Or is the front part of the dinosaur just a moving animatronic piece and the guy in the suit just walks it around while it does it's own thing?

its like a big backpack. All the wieght is on his back. so I think its balanced out so he cant fall (which I think he may have fallen once or twice, thats why there is always more than one assisstant with him haha) while he can control the upper body. But it must be hot at some point...

i am one of the puppeteers at the LA Natural History Museum. it takes A LOT of skill, as the puppets are NOT animatronic. we move them all by ourselves, w/ sheer manpower :)

Just to help try and clarify. It is both a puppet and a robot. There is a man inside controlling the movement ,such as the walking and turning; he also, probably from joysticks inside the head has control of the facial expressions, such as the blinking, opening and closing the mouth, and speech. You can see the person's legs.
