Iran wants a nuke weapon to intimidate Israel from nuking them. Even Israel said that if Iran had a nuke warhead they wouldn't be crazy enough to just use it due to the fact that Israel has 200 plus warheads. I don't see what the problem is. No, the Bible doesn't tell us to stone anyone. God uses Israel in the Bible as a portrait of all true believers. He was establishing His covenant with them then and very strict laws were given at that time.
We now live under the new covenant which is under God's grace as marked by the birth death and ressurection of the Christ.

Obama has proven how much he wishes to speak with Iran. But it only appears he wants a one way conversation.
Before he became President he kept telling us that he would talk with Iran without Pre Conditions. As soon as he became President those Pre Conditions were part of the package.
If Obama really meant a peaceful talk with Iran he would first start by appologizing for American actions in destroying Iran's Democracy and replacing it with the Dictator Shah.
