Hey, great job singing AND playing! You held you own onstage with the greatest guitarist who ever lived. You've got more talent than 99% of the "country" hat act pretty boys making millions.
i have it and it's awesome. i've watched it like 4 times and have yet to even sit down with my guitar to try and play the examples i just want to hear him play. but the cool thing about that dvd is that he teaches you techniques that you can put to use in your own playing right away not just a collection of licks.
I am the guy who was lucky enough to be singing this tune with Danny playing. I did this show in Nashville for a few years in the 90s. Since I worked for Vintage Guitar magazine as well & had done an interview with Danny, he agreed to come on the show while in town for NAMM. I felt like a Golden Gloves boxer in the ring with Mohamed Ali to be honest but it sure was fun - even if it came on at 6:00 am! I miss that guy and wonder how much more he would have amazed us all if he had lived longer.
Are you the keyboard player, the bass player or the red haired bearded guy who played rythm for Danny in the Saturday morning show? And whatever happend to that sexy blond on the Saturday morning show. She kind of reminds me of Ellie May of The Beverly Hillbillies. mastercollector
How cool is that to have shared the same stage with Danny! By the way, you played some great guitar, too. Yeah, 6 AM is certainly no time to be having to perform! Way too early! But you guys still did great!
Hi Dave; is that your name? Please go to the Sleepwalk youtube video and read my comments; some surprises there for Gatton fans. mastercollector/gattonmaster
Dude, you held your own very well. Nice lead licks. Hold your head high. How many of us have ever played on TV? Oh, yeah, I did...ONCE...in Monroe, LA, in about 1965 with my old buddies in The Tremolos out of Bossier City. We were not even close to you guys in talent. Great job. What are you doing now?
Great musicians these guys. Think the Beatles also did this song, it may be a Carl Perkins. Loved seeing Danny Gatton play, he was one of the best! Thanks for posting it.

I'm the red haired guy. The blonde was Carlin Evans, kind of a biotch but then hey, it's TV, right? :o)
