Growing up DEAF sounds interesting. My old teacher showed us a video clip that shows what it's like to attend a DEAF school... like how the lights flicker instead of a bell and how the DEAF sometimes still carry ipods because they can feel the vibrations.

I'm still new to ASL and find it fun to watch people sign to music. This is one of my favorite songs! Thanks for sharing it,

omg my friend is deaf and it makes me abit sad cuz i dont know how to communicate with him without a translator but ima learn deaf & that school for deaf looks funn :]

like im happy they have a school . one thing i can say is special needs kids/ people are true to their self rather than normal kids !!

I'm really glad you liked the video. :D I hope this video makes people feel inspired to view deaf people in a different way. It took a lot of work to edit this video. Um, the lady told the young girl that she's a senior, excited to be graduating. But the young girl said, very funny! you're silly! (well it's hard to interpret into english but thats the best I can do)

Absolutly beautifully made. This is really the first time I've listined to this song since Ive graduated, because before then, every time I heard it, it would make me cry. I loved the secret hand shake thing at the end. It gave a final touch to the video, that helped you see exactly how important friends really are. Great job.

to answer your question, the two song signers are hard of hearing but one of them has a deaf family. and attend a deaf school. so does that answer your question.

just wanted to add: I noticed a lot of hispanics, and i think i heard Spanish (which i love), but do they use the same sign language? Just wondering because i just have an interest in Hispanic culture, and I'm in a program called Spanish immersion where we are taught in Spanish and communicate in Spanish.
