I'm not sure about the rules for them transforming in to mermaids here. If they come on shore at high tide, they have legs, but lose them at low tide, and if they stay in the water after low tide, they keep their tails. Is that right? How come June got her tail when she fell in to the water, but Venus doesn't get hers swimming in her tank?

this was actually a pilot for a tv series on hbo i think. that's why the ending is weird. i have no idea why this didn't get picked up its awesome! the effects and tail! and the story line are good. what i woldn't give for a second episode! i mean birds of prey was shitty and lasted a whole season!!!!
