It's not about drum battles... Are there better drummers than him? Absolutely. Is he still a great drummer? Absolutely. The thing is he has created his own sound on the drums such that when you hear a drum track you think "That's Travis." That's what makes him famous - he doesn't play to be 'technical' but he plays to express himself.

Who cares who's better then who... No matter how good someone is there's always gonna be someone better. Travis has mad style and is an amazing writer. Props to him for that. He is definitely amazing though, no question about it. Its hard to judge somone by a solo that they have down pat and play ever night. I wonder what he knows or is learning that he struggles with... must be amazing!

Except for down at the david letterman he used double but he had only one beater on it cause he broke his right foot at the time. well, I'd give a good pop-punk drummer but there aren't any. The music Barker plays is seriously some of the simplest, easiest, most-accessible music out there. It's basically pop just packaged with heavy guitars and faster beats so all the skaters will listen to it and the companies make money.

it doesnt make me mad when people say travis sucks. It just really bothers me and gets to me in a way. He does his own thing and that's what I love about him. They often make fun of the way he hit's the hi hat but like I said he does his own thing.
