Sputnik Monroe (Took a Big Bite Out of Jim Crow)

I got to see him a lot in Memphis TV, in person and in the "real world" as a distance cousin of mine was Maury High who was one fo the Rocket Monroes-they rented a house from my Uncle in Arlington and we were very excited to have the famed heel around town! I can't find any footage although some must exist..I keep checking youtube.....

Although I was watching Championship Wrestling from Florida throughout the 60's, I never saw Sputnik perform.  I can't find any video remaining of him. I have video of Norvell Austin, Duke Keomoku and lots of other wrestlers from that period, but apparently he was never recorded or it is all gone. I can't help thinking Jim Crow had a lot to do with it. Memphis is my home town, Tampa is where I grew up. I sure would like to see him in action.
