The topic is the judgment that awaits the devil and I gave two scriptures to references to Christ's return as a judge, he did not come as a judge the first time, some expect him to come the same way when he returns, but that is not the case. It also shows the saints coming WITH god, ie pre-trib rapture is made clear in Jude 14. 2nd thess 1:7-10 reassure us of two things, one there will be a price to pay for rejecting Christ and second it shows that those who are in Christ need have no fear.
