they don't have heated floors, it's often cold in there, it's crowded and small, the dogs and cats don't even have pillows or anything to sleep on, ALL the cats are in the same cage,

adopt a pit bull. they are the most misunderstood breed there is. they are treated awful. but they are the nicest most loyal dogs ever. they used to be known as nanny dogs because they were so good with children. but people like mike vick ruined their name even more. dont believe the press they are very nice dogs and are one of the last breeds for dog bites per population.

not quite sure, but adoption is miles cheaper then buying. Also adopted animals through the SPCA seemed to be better trained.

I got a rabbit from mine years ago (he's still around today) who came toilet trained which you don't get with pet store rabbits.

On a whole I'd say people I know who have adopted end up with a lot for satisfaction in their pet then someone who bought one. It's also cheaper and you get cheaper healthcare for them through the SPCA adoption system.

I volunteered at Humane Society for half a year last year and it looked almost the same like the shelter in this video... It's so sad seeing so many animals ( dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, birds, piglets ) with no other place to live then the shelter :(
