I believe he meant he and Shannon had seen her at previous competitions, but it's pretty awkward phrasing. My favorite Lou Tilley moments are when he attempts (and, more often than not, utterly fails) to pronounce the names of foreign gymnasts.
what ever happened to those cinncinati gymnastics girls?? ps my coach rett used to coach there!!! now she is the head coach at my current gym and ill tell u.. ITS SOOO HARD

Monica tore her achilles tendon in 2006, she is now at Yale on their gym team.
