  • drit bra

  • i have one of his books

  • This video is good

  • The World of Roald Dahl is great.

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • I've loved Roald Dahl's books since I was six years old. I'm 21 now and his stories still have a very special place in my heart.

  • Asian sugar babies # lushfmlk.info#

  • you are the man, stream on Movie Watcherus really works!!!

  • Ohh my god I love thiss!!!

  • I'll stick up for samholdsworth a tiny bit. I loved this film and the American actors etc. didn't bother me at all, because the voice work was superb, however some of the Americanisms - Garbage, possum, five and dime etc. did jar slightly, only because the setting was clearly England so it seemed a little strange, i almost would have preferred it if they had just set the film in the US instead.

  • @paulski1966 I uderstand whats samholdsworth is saying but they did let the British actors play the humans, while the american actors played the animals.

  • Haha, one thumb down. What a dummie.

  • Roald Dahl was my absolute favorite author as a child, and Wes Anderson's movies are incredible. The combination of the two was genious, I wan't let down.

  • wow, I had no idea that this movie was so artistically crafted. I'm going to keep this in mind when I go and see it.

  • Fantastic movie, can't wait for amazon to restock the bluray.

  • this movie was trippy

  • good quality movie its online at [ hd-movieOnet ](change O to a dot) ! seen it already lol it's got an awesome cast of actors

  • did anybody else watch this movie high?

  • YES!!! man, this movie is cool as hell when you're high. the film is so beautiful and engrossing that it really makes you want to become a part of the world of Mr. Fox

  • @samholdsworth what do you mean lack of respect? this movie looks like they spent alot of time paying respect to Mr Dahl and his book.

As for your complaint of Americanization of stories,

have you heard about a man named Shakespeare, who spent most of his career taking stories from around Europe and rewriting them to suit and english audience... i guess that goes to prove that this process of cultural appropriation can be done well... so give it a shot. (also... I agree, often hollywood sucks)

  • I'm Canadian.

  • lol wtf XD

  • I don't know what you are talking about. The whole setting to me is pretty English.

  • Yeah, and Dhal is orginaly from Norway, aint I right?

  • nope cardiff wales

  • they just speak with american accents, if a british director did this maybe there could have been Brits but no one of the best American directors did it, it was great, if they were british it would not have made any difference

  • what i was getting a is it was based on British characters in britain so for it to americanized doesnt make any sense to me as it just doesnt seem like fantastic mr fox any more lol

  • also they filmed it in London animation studios... all the human characters look British (or at least caricatures or brits.) The cars drive on the left side. What more do you want? Do you think there was alot of British fist pumping in the book, the characters never say to each other, "I'm a british fox, god bless the queen" Badger replies "fuck the yanks". Nationalism has nothing to do with the story. Also the movie is incredible. I love it.

  • @samholdsworth You can't understand the world unless it's all in sterotypes can you?

  • @samholdsworth.

Uhh, they did have british actors in it. You must be talking about the main characters. Honestly, who cares, it obviously takes place in England. Dahl's wife obviously didn't care. It's just an accent!

  • The guy at 0:58 came to my Animation class and taught us the ways of Stop Motion :) We also got to see the motorbike scene with the green screen and the making of :3

  • that's kevin walton. i hope you enjoyed the class.

  • yeah, it was great. We wanted to mimic this dance that's 30 seconds long and he didn't think we could, so we produced something pretty nice (can bee seen on my profile) at the end and he complemented us :A. We celebrated.

  • did you use dragon, and upload the footage as live action reference?

  • this movie's GREAT!

  • So entertaining, Wes Anderson is a genius.

  • this is one of my favorite movies so far this year.

  • OH I agree to the 10th degree,

to bad there are gonna be a whole bunch of immature Transformers/Twilight lovers who will say that this is just another kids film.

  • Prob my fav story ever growing up and not much beets it now ive read alot of books but nothing has that simplistic yet deap and emoitnal touch that that book had kinda embarresed to go see the movie now though im not exaclty at the right age for that but ill find a way to watch it before it comes out on dvd and it is too bad that people are hating on it because of its "atachment" to the furrys but w/e I like it for what it is and im a furry too so the hell with it :D srry for english im german.

  • what's wrong with being a certain age to see it? i went with a bunch of buddies and i was the youngest out of the group. I'm 19. We laughed and enjoyed I think more than anybody else there.

  • Yea....lol Just saw it today and it was...better than the book 0.0

But....idk I see what ya mean.......

  • This movie was much better than UP. If it doesn't win Best Animated Feature Film Oscar© I'll be royally pissed.

  • Its so fashionable to take a shot at Pixar these days. The fact is that they consistently release great films.

And this looks great too! The Animation is great and I love the story, I hope Rohl Dahls wife enjoys it :)

  • I didn't say it to be fashionable, and the fact that they consistently deliver inspired cinema has nothing to do with my statement. You spelled Roald Dahl wrong, and its stop action puppetry not animation. Please don't open your mouth when you have nothing productive or interesting to say.

  • it's not "stop action puppetry", i don't think such a thing exists, or even makes sense. true, we do refer them as puppets, but this film is "stop frame animation", you animate, stop, shoot a frame, or two, and then animate the next action. puppetry is when you move the characters at real time, either to an audience or to a live action camera. i hope that helps.

  • You, my friend, are a nit picking douche.

  • that's interesting, i seem to remember you "nit picking" over someones else's spelling. but you were wrong none the less.

  • 1. I wasn't saying that you were nitpicking about my spelling so your arguement is already dead

    2. You spelled Roald Dahl wrong, the author of the freaking book, if you don't know how to spell it (or even correctly say Roald for that matter) I find it hard to make you out to be a reliable resource of information. Just me.

  • i think you're getting confused. i never even mentioned the author's name, and i think you mean, source of information, 'rescource' is do to with assets or personal inner abilities, not origins of information.

but seeing as the film was shot in london, seeing as i visited the set, went to the crew screening, know a lot of the people who made it and i work in stop frame animation, i'd think i was a fairly reliable source of information.

  • a cmon google would correct it,

  • fantastic mr fox is probably one of the first books i read without help and is also one of my favorite

im just not so sure about this movie even though im dying to see it

  • The wife fox is named after Roald Dahl's wife, Felicity.

That is love right there. :)

  • This movie looks very good ,but I don't see it making alot of money in theaters.

  • Alas I don't think it's making much money at all. It's being overshadowed by Up....which really isn't as good as Fantastic Mr Fox (seen it twice now) Then again i'm a stop motion animation student so i'm a tad bit biased!

  • well its also a wes anderson film too. It takes a certain type of person to appreciate his style of filming.

  • thank you !!! very nice cartoon about fox :)

  • GAHH

Religion/God comments on every damn YouTube video! Seriously, its a movie regarding where the inspiration and magic came from for an utterly Fantastic film. I should not look down to the comments, hoping to see the ideas and opinions of fellow film lovers, and be treated with this unneeded SHENANIGANS!

  • you tellim dude no respect at all

  • I don't believe in God. Is that a problem? I don't arque with people like CentreOfReason does, or try to pick fights like that. Why can't people live and let live? Ignore him/her. Easiest way to make them shut up. And lets just try to enjoy the video, instead of arquing, ok? Don't hate on other people. Give a good name to us atheists, CentreOfGod. Not ones like that.

Thank you for reading. I'm 13 years old.

  • Wow and so Mature hey kid keep up that attitude its gives out a good vibe =) im sure ppl like you will live a good life Believe in God or not your a good person and the world should have more ppl like you =) keep it up

  • Thank you! That's so kind of you! The world needs more open people like you too.

  • But Mr.Fox should have an English accent! Not happy.

  • Dude, all you're doing is proving my point.

  • CenterOfReason, you clearly are a troll who loves to stroll around like a moral policeman and tell everyone to boycott a director who signed a petition that wants Polanski freed because of the nature of how he was arrested, not because of the crime he committed 30 years ago (which no sane person would defend, including the defenders of that petition).

  • I, for one, am planning to see this movie when it comes out because it looks good. Boycotting this movie because of a director not only makes you childish and immature, it makes you look like an idiot!

  • This movie does look good. I personally don't care who directed it. I love the book. Love the author. But Centerofreason is getting out of control. You are right about the boycott thing.

  • CenterOfReason, are you God? Or Jesus? What makes you the Center Of Reason? Get off of your high horse. Who are you to judge and what makes you so holy to think that you have the right to pass judgment? You read like a self centered morals spewing buffoon.

  • "We are the only ones that can protect the helpless and stand for what is right"

I hope you are not on some Vigilante self centered high horse trip.

Wait. Wait. Are you Dick Chaney?

  • "There is no God... people like you prove it."

People like you prove that God does indeed exist, and he put people like you on this planet in order to test us.

  • Hey, CenterOfReason. Now I do think that Roman Polanski should be arrested, but if Wes Anderson supports his films, so what? Stop spamming.

  • People didn't sign that petition because of what Polanski did... they signed it because of the nature of the arrest, and the fear that it would cause unintended consequences on the artistic community.

  • wes y did u add your name to that roman polankski list,i am a huge fan u have disappointed me, rape is a horrible crime..mr fox does look great though

  • Wes Anderson is such a charming chap. There is a very soft, whimsical, 'english' vibe to alot of his work, i cant think of anyone better to do Dahl's book.

  • Yeah, he has such a wide range of influences but his movies still feel very original.

  • Brilliant idea taking inspirationfrom Roald Dahl's home. It's exactly as I imagined it to be when I first read the book. Wes Anderson is a rare one.

  • I can't wait.

  • I love Wes Anderson's movies.

  • Along with Where The Wild Things Are, my most anticipated of this year.

  • Man, this looks so good. I'm a sucker for stop motion and little miniature worlds.

  • Wes Anderson did a movie about a Roald Dahl story? Perfect match. :)

  • cool
