For God's sake, Ayers IS repentant. He switched to NON-violent protest under Rabbi Wolf in Chicago DECADES ago. He is an EDUCATOR in the same foundation that ENDORSED JOHN MCCAIN and was started by a REAGAN supporter!. When Ayers said he regretted they hadn't done enough, he meant enough to stop the war, not enough bombing (of which there was damned little, anyway). He and Tom Hayden were in the same camp, and Hayden went on to become a Congressman. So are you going to trash him too?

The federal government broke the law in its prosecution of Ayers & Dohrn. They had very little real evidence & what they did have was largely obtained illegally. Warrantless spying, witness & evidence tampering - the FBI screwed up their case against Ayers.

In America, you're innocent until PROVEN guilty. If you're convicted, once you've served your sentence, you're supposed to be a citizen again.

I was really disturbed by this. Chris Matthews just let Michelle Bachmann blather on and on for TEN MINUTES about Ayers, Rezko, anti-American liberals, etc. without any real challenge. There was no discussion about what Ayers did, about how the Annenberg Foundation endorsed John McCain for President and was started by a Reagan contributor, etc. Then her let her tie it to all liberals and paint a picture of all liberals as anti-American. Everyone should COMPLAIN to MSNBC and Matthews. DO IT.

He's trying to prove a point. Everyone is saying Ayers is an okay guy now, so Buchanan is saying David Duke is an okay guy too, which he is. David Duke fights for the European-Americans now. While he did have a bad past, he's not a member of the KKK anymore and it was over 30 years ago, nor did he ever bomb anything, like Pat is pointing out.
