I think that's just brillaint. However, when I was thinking the greatest toy in the world I did think of a gigantic cardbord box. Simple easy fun. I will agree with you though, I did love to play with a torch was a child, I had one with a special dial to change to colour of the light. I just loved to wave it around the room and look at all the creepy shapes I could make.
I've never really looked at flashlights that way before. It's strange how we never seem to appreciate the simple things in life. Maybe it's because we always overlook them. But it's nice to have a reminder once in a while.
Where was the light chasing game that we all played featured in the video? I remember doing hand puppets and just looking at the patterns that it made on the wall from the inside cup. What do you think about those 'shake em up' flashlights? Isn't the battery life of the batteries dragging down the memories of the flashlight? Dragging down cause you have to change them so many times. I have a flashlight with 2 D batteries in it and it only lasted 3 months, and there was only 1 power outtage.
timm9 the message was a metaphorical one. Also simple: a flashlight, which most people already have - makes a great, safe toy. And it doesn't have the theme of fighting or war - but instead it sheds lights where there is darkness.
I totally agree that imagination is key to everything. Imagination is what makes a flashlight - more than a flashlight. I didn't call imagination the greatest toy in the world because it cannot be held in a person's hands. Toys, such as flashlights, and crayons, are a physical medium thru which to use our imaginations and achieve some magical moments in our lives. Thanks for the post.
I used them as light sabers too. Of course, that idea was taken by the toy makers and they actually made toys light sabers out of flashlights. Oh and, no, I wasn't about to cry at the end :)
Awesome message, as always! Thank you for sharing this with us. You have such an open mind to recieve these messages to bring here to share with us and I want you to know that in our life it is appreicated. HUGS xoxoxo I love my light! God is good! Amen!

a flashlight is a useful tool, and yes it can be a good toy, but the greatest toy in the world? I disagree.
The greatest toy in the world is one that every human has access to, and it doesn't cost a cent.
There is no limit with what you can do with it.
it's called...
Imagination.

I usually don't use a flashlight to make handpuppets. I have to use them to crawl around attics.

Hi Jim. Of course you do now. But be honest, you never played with flashlights when you were a little boy?
Xaves511 3 years ago
I confess. I always wanted one but Santa never gave me one.

Also,I could add,
the flashlight works to its fullest extent, due to the power within,,,
