I love this song. I'd like to think this song was written for the kids who have nothing. "I'm singing to you, cause I know what you've been through and now it's not so long ago I felt the same." Joel and Benji come from a very poor and troubled childhood. This song I feel is definitely a message to the kids, who just like them, struggle with family emotional/financial problems. They're trying to reach out and give them hope. Definitely hits home a lot for me. Amazing.
