class film we had nothing when we was kids i was born in 68 ,we all used to go nesting ,life was less stressfull today its all about money ,folks worked hard and played hard,todays society 90%are materialistic,always wanting better than neighbour ,we all stood up for what we believe in aswell ,and we all used to get into fights and never held grudgesgreat times .
@hadley0121 sounds great, at least then people sorted out their differences with a good old fashioned fistfight and that was the end of it, not like now with guns and knives! i was born in the wrong time!
Threads and Kes can't be compared. Both are stunning examples of realism. The music score in Kes is beautiful and even if you close your eyes you can still see the industrial dereliction, shattered dreams and abusive schools of northern England, circa 1970.
I'm one of the 10% of younger people today who wishes life was less materialistic!
