  • great singer. the song is: "me voy p'al pueblo"

    I remenber this song, hahaha,

when i was little, many years ago.

    where? in Colombia, of course,

is a folkloric song from Colombia,

    ...vamos..!

  • He seems like such a nice guy besides his beautiful voice. He's awesome. Mr. Salas OMG you're fabulous. When you coming to Cali, performing together?

  • He seems like such a nice guy besides his beautiful voice. He's awesome.

  • can anyone tell me what language is this? thanks! i m a new fan of raul..his voice is just amazing!

  • Now I've heard it all... A country music singer singing salsa... Nice..

  • One of the things I like about Raul Malo is that you can tell he loves music and enjoys pleasing his audience. I still enjoy listening to his music from the Mavericks days, but I also savor his spanish music. Raul's vocals are a great fit for this style, and the band is first class. A fresh rendition of a classic, with a bit of extra spice. Awesome all around.

  • For those of you that don't understand the words, learning another language, especially Spanish, is fun and challenging but rewarding. Get a Spanish to English dictionary and find the lyrics to songs by groups or artists like Raul Malo, Grupo Intocable, Mana, Shakira, Ramon Ayala, Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz...etc. As you read the lyrics, listen to them and use the dictionary to learn what the words mean in English. What great music comes from the folks I mentioned earlier!

  • Can't help but feel good when I hear this performance!

  • A lovely song; a lovely rendition.

  • Excellent

  • I love songs in spanish but I don't speak it so I have no idea what they mean. Thanks Jigaboo123456 for letting us know what it is about! I love Raul, his voice is the greatest.

  • @ksuesue67 I am the same way. I do not understand spanish nor speak it, but man do I love to hear it spoken and sang. Raul and Freddy Fender just drive me nuts

  • HAHA! I love what this cherful little song means in English. It is about hard-working peasant telling his wife he isn't going to allow his life to be all work on his little patch of ground, he's off to town to have a little fun!

Then he probably just said" Yes , dear, and went back to work!

  • SING RAUL SING
