@TheAbcd1978 Learn hirwaz (try different spellings, sometimes it is "hijaz".) and get used to how Persian scales and modes "feel". You'll be hitting frets you usually ignore and using unfamiliar intervals if you come from a western-music background. No tab?

Back in the day, it was bands like BT and Candlemass that got me into Turkish and Greek music. Now, after years of studying and playing bouzouki and hammered dulcimer, I've been writing doom metal tunes on these instruments. Go figure.
