  • I have one of these in my bathroom

    o.O

  • Some people can't feel heat or cold tho, so this might actually be useful ^^

  • so macht der abwasch gleich doppelt so viel spaß ^^

  • shweet. Its a lightsaber sink! XD

  • Netto

    ¿?.

  • Well you can usually feel the heat from hot boiling water, so I think its a waste of money but it you want to use this at a place that attracts people youll get their attention..

  • Especially if you rewire it to where it would turn blue when its hot.. That would be awesome xD

  • i want one!

  • i think his got it to detect the temp of the piping and not the actual water but really gd idea and would be better if the lights where brighter the hotter/ colder they where they blended together in mid temp point. If ur guy that made this and ur lookin to market this and u require an invester, pleaseeee email me :D

  • now this is pretty cool. a bit a waste of electricity, but pretty cool for bars.

  • so awesome

  • brilliant

  • gooood idea

    pretty cool

  • ive seen something extremely similar to this in an indian restraunt...

  • oh wow thats really pretty!

  • niiiccee...what if I wanted lukewarm water or tepid....what colour would that be?

  • Obviously a purple of some sort. Red-ish and Blue-ish make Purple-ish!

  • yea that is pretty cool

  • Nice idea ! Maybe you could find a way to use the water motion energy to power up your RGB LEDs and make it completely stand-alone ?

  • Pretty neat.. check out my channel

  • thats real cool, i always gatta keep ma hand under the water 2 c when it gets cold 2 drink

  • I love this thing! Throw it on the market.

  • only for design purpose...no real interest, but it looks good.

  • r u kidding me? this could be used to prevent burning ur hands. color changing with temperature, GENIUS!

  • For kids maybe, and even those, you quicly learn in life that steam coming up means your water is hot, i though the same as you at first but quicly remembered that human got instinct, that is enough to try out if it is hot! But yeah : that could help.

ps : You'll never be greatly burnt by just using hot tap water...i think...

Btw the picture looks like laser beam haha...

  • >>> You'll never be greatly burnt by just using hot tap water.

I have seen kids with terrible burns from scolding hot water from kitchen taps.

    AC

  • yea cuz you can adjust your water heater, to VERY hot. and people can get hurt

  • LOL @ the person who said not to waste water... WHO CARES... water is recycled and we clean it and re use it... umm so NE 1 who says dont waste water should know the facts...

  • but, to recycle and clean the water for reuse, we use tons of chemicals and electricity. so when someone says "don't waste water" they really mean "don't waste electricity"

  • We always have this on Japan...its Done.

is in a lot of expensive restaurants here.

  • amzing, a led light

  • One way to attract the missus back to the sink...Oi... I was only joking "Wack" gotta go Im bleeding...

  • ok blue when its to cold, and red when its to hot.... so it will get green when its the right temprature... right? ;)

  • hey, don't waste water dude. nice idea though.

  • wow, that is cool enough that if i had one, i might actually consider doing dishes.

  • Good... tunning-o-water

(sorry... is a cool idea, a visual signal for hot water)

  • i love this, not only is it modern, its cool, lights wicked! and if you place a little pendum in the pipe which could power the the energy for the pipe as the water pases through, so your not using extra electrical energy! and it saves being burnt! wicked!

  • Cause I just hate getting my hands wet at the wrong temperature :D

  • Uuuh! me likie!

  • Thats exactly right! I hate turning on my faucet to be burned by scolding hot water. But, I think the light quality could be better to actually make the water look a certain color(but not chemically just visually) and not just the area where the water comes out...

  • thats realy a good idea for people like me who have poor feeling of heat / cold in their fingers sure they can see the position of the tab but its quite smart Red for warm and blue for cold, great idea for making life easyer for us :)

  • nice

  • nice idea

  • Yet another stupid invention.

  • hmmm should have sold ur idea to a company...i believe Hansa or some company like that have released some faucets that does the same thing

  • it looks like LAVA when it turns red... it will not peirce through my hand?

  • good thinking yur a sure inventor

  • great idea!

  • I like it.

  • Great idea for anyone with children! I will buy it for sure. It will remind my daughter when the water is hot so she won't stick her hands in there.

  • heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyaw

  • watching this ruined my evening!! tell me.. how long in the making was this prototype... i would like to know if this preceeded my own thinking of such a devise

  • I would imagine that would be pretty usefull, it would save many hands indeed.

  • i thought it was fire comming out of it man.

but thats why they have the heat dial so u can cotrol how hot it is u dont need a light to tell u

    Good idea though

  • How hot does the hot need to get to change to red!?

  • that actually is useful so people dont burn themselves waiting for it to heat up. and maybe even save water

  • that's sweet

  • dude at first i thought it was spitting out fire but now im disappointed sorry to say

  • waste

  • it needs a rainbow option

  • fuckin waste

  • it needs purple~

  • yer for warm

  • since it is human instinct to just like getting washed in water, whether it be in hot/cold,most ppl will not wait for the light to steady b/c they do not have the innate patience to wait to be washed, and learning otherwise to wait for water is not the most significant habit to learn nowadays..unless you are cooking rice or washing plates, then this light becomes useful but only twice a day!

  • the point of technology is to make life convenient. a people become more civilized when they risk their lives less w/ fewer unnecessary actions(like hunting or dueling). although this gadget is just a small idea,100 years from now, every faucet might have one. ppl should stop regarding dynamic changes as small as this one as 'pointless'.we can at most predict that this idea will not be very popular.

  • Suppose you had damaged nerve endings, or limited mobility and were unable to check the temperature of the water... I'm not sure, but I mean, I SUPPOSE that would be you know, like... a) obvious and b) useful

  • The future of utility shouldn't be about making people lazier...how much effort does it take to put your hand under the water?

  • define utility, i am not sure it is proper to call a light gadget a utility. i think technology in the future, as it has already, will continue to be made for superficial purposes until resources become less easily obtainable, then every person just needs a computer and a public shelter and public supplies to survive. hehe thats my version tho...

  • The definition of utility is making people lazier. People dont invent things that will force them to work harder.

  • There is a difference between laziness and progress. And actually, in every country's industrial revolution people work harder, and they also get more done. Look at the Amish work day vs. a Chinese factory worker's work day. NOT LESS WORK.

  • People love to romanticize about colonial times, but life back then was just as hard if not harder. The reason Amish people dont have to work as hard is becasue they DO use some modern technology, but dont have to design or produce it. They have it both ways, so you cant really guage what life was like in the past by how much an Amish person today works.

  • It's cute that you think that in colonial times people worked harder than they did in the Industrial Revolution, unfortunately American historians say otherwise. Technology makes more things possible, and while it makes old tasks easier, the new ones can be just as difficult or even more difficult.

  • You just proved my point. Technology MAKES TASKS EASIER.

  • Actually the point you were trying to make was that you can't guage difficulty of life by modern Amish, which is of course false because the majority of them don't use any modern technology. But...yeah...you said nothing about individual tasks...which even if you did wasn't my point, so you shouldn't have tried to argue with me...

  • My original point was the response to your, "The future of utility shouldn't be about making people lazier," in which i was trying to say that technology is created with the purpose of making things easier.

  • And btw, Amish people frequently use farm machinery that was invented after colonial times, and they buy and sell things with people that arent amish. Their lives would not be as comfortable as they are without their interaction with the industrialized world, thus you cannot use the Amish as an accurate representaion of colonial america.

Get your facts straight before acting so cocky.

  • its a good idea but im could tell if water is hot or not im not idoit that needs a light to tell me that

  • u cant tell by looking at it

  • i dont see a point in this, other than being amazed by a light while u wash ur baby

  • o when its cold it turns blue when hot turns red COOL!!!

  • this is cool, but childrean need to learn what it means to be burned xD

  • I WANT ONE!

  • question...the color is cool and all but, what exactly does it do different from any normal sink?

  • It's more of a safety feature. You could teach children that the water is safe to touch when it's blue or purple, but not when it's red. It also looks really cool.

  • Eh, that's not really a problem to begin with. Once they feel the painful burn the first time, they'll remember to check if it's hot by just touching it quickly next time. :)

  • That sounds like a good idea, but what will they do when they don't have a tap with these features. Certainly looks nice, but impractical in my opinion.

  • thanks, i got the really cool part, but i never that of safety. Another question...water is only red when you put food coloring in it, you should consider making a bubbling fountain....thats what happens when you boil water after all

  • one problem then kids will grow up thinking the color red is bad posibly leading to its extintion on the color wheel.

    Stop and Think.

  • oh fuck thats good. HAHAHA

  • all I can say is "lol wtf???"

  • all those make sense, but hot water doesn't change color, well sometimes it whitens a little but it bubbles if its boiling...so perhaps a bubble sink that would be cool!

  • Another waste of time? Why would you need an indicator to tell you the temperature of water. Takes the fun out of testing it with your hands.

  • well, its probably for safety; u dont wanna get burned or anything

  • nice idea

  • Cool! An other invention from you, not bad!

  • another cool ass invention...you guys are awsome! I'll buy stock in you're stuff if I see it on the market
