lol, are you serious? Bush almost NEVER took questions as a rule unless they were agreed upon ahead of time and the administration had time to draft his response. He was known as being "mr. foot-in-the-mouth" so it was one of the agreed upon stipulations if a reporter wanted to ask a question, and one of the things that the white house press core used to gripe about all the time as they felt it was really restrictive. So tax cuts will REDUCE the deficit? Didn't we try that under Bush? And what are your other strategies? Piddling savings over a 747 - yeah that'll put a dent in things. And the TARP Act which allowed those abuses happened under Bush, not Obama, who has ctiticized it. Your strategy does nothing to address the economic crisis.

yeah, except its the other way around. the conservative tax cut strategy is an immediate solution to the national economy rather than the deficit. you see immediate cuts on tax rates directed to small businesses & middle/working class households will relieve important aspects of the economy. the solution to the national deficit is simple, don't spend a $1trillion every 3 months; that just might benefit our defecit!

Now there's no demand.
So temporarily we either have to create artificial demand, OR face the consequence of dramatic unemployment.

Now if we want to talk about "What is the fastest way to get REAL demand back" then Tax Cuts are the least efficient way to do it.
Since they don't even pay for themselves, much less generate a multiplier effect.
