This engine started out life as a Buick 215 in V8 in the early 60's, and then GM sold it to Rover as it didnt want the engine for further use.

Please tell me you warmed it up earlier! I have an edelbrock performer manifold with edelbrock 500 carb on my 110. Runs fantastic on lpg or petrol. The 3.9 from my disco(rolled it) is next to go in after I have done some porting around the valves and port matching with the manifold. Currently in the process of removing the skins from the doors and welding in new door frames. An epic project. Anyway - nice sound even with only 7 cylinders at the start.

I work on Rovers and a customer of the shop I work at has a P38 4.6L without exhaust and every time you drove by a parked car, the car alarm would go off, it was sweet!

yes you are correct, it wasnt running on all 8.

it has an optronix distributor (like a lazer/light beam), i snapped one of the teeth off when cleaning it.

all fixed now!

. .still havent got round to the side exit, so theres one bloody loud 90 driving around yorkshire! :)

For the side exit u will have to have exhaust going over chassis or rather under it, reducing ground clearance?

My brother had a 90 pickup, would be good with a stack!
