  • It's just too easy to destroy every word that comes out of closet case browns mouth

  • AWESOME! Brian Brown is a bigot and he should be called on for it. Great points were made by Thom Hartmann and if Brian Brown really wants to go by a bibical definition of marriage he better start campaining for polygamy and the oppression of women because those are all things that are found in there. The real question is: WHY is it necessary to ban LGBT people from marrying, in a SECULAR government? There is none. The church can define marriage as it wants. But our laws are secular.

  • wow, everyone has made some great points. I really enjoyed this video and reading everyone supporting comments on gay marriage. this is awesome. REVOLUTION. .thumbsup.

  • Good job, Thom. You actually got Brian Brown to admit that marriage is a union OF AT LEAST one man and one woman. LOL. He actually supports polygamy!

Brian has the false assumption that if you support marriage equality, that you somehow don't support opposite-sex marriage. That is 100% false. -- Notice how he never explains WHY same-sex couples shouldn't be able to marry. Just that opposite-sex marriage is SO darn special, that same-sex couples would somehow destroy the institution. 100% lies.

  • The issue is this: One side defines marriage one way, the other side defines it another way. Your vote really comes down to whether you believe traditional marriage should be redefined or remain the same. I consider marriage a privilege, not just a legal right. It's a privilege to find the love of my life, someone to spend the rest of my life with. If it were just a legal right, then it would be no more than a business contract or real estate license. That totally takes the romance out of it.

  • @yuhcute

In 1967 the US Supreme Court ruled against you. In legalizing interracial marriage, they declared marriage a civil right between any two consenting adults. People often don't get married because of love. I can find a stranger of the opposite sex on the street and within seconds of knowing her I can get the 1,138 rights associated with marriage, but I can't marry a man I've loved for decades. A heterosexual serial killer is entitled to more rights than a gay citizen

  • @queerveganliberal The Supreme Court, though the highest court in the land, did not come up with the idea of marriage. Neither did the Supreme Court define marriage. My point, as I stated before, is how people choose to define marriage. Some people are now creating their own definitions of marriage. You clearly look at marriage only from a legal stand point, but there is a lot more to it than what is on paper. As for your last sentence...What???????????

  • @yuhcute

The word "marriage" came from the French word "marier" which means to

join and a suffix "-age" which means a state of being or condition.

When combined, "marriage" means any joining with permanence---such as

marrying/joining together two people or two boards of wood; two males, two females, male/female, or two bottles of mustard.

  • Deny? Go crazy faggots - just don't look for a stamp of approval from anyone with any moral backbone.

  • @jeffmonc2 well if those "moral" people include u and people like u then thank god

  • @jackthayer God made his stance pretty damn clear in Leviticus. Snd numerous other books. Read a few loser. Go with that.

  • @jeffmonc2 Is that the same book of the Bible that says I can sell my daughter into slavery and stone my wife to death if she's not a virgin on our wedding night??

And the book that says that I can't eat pork or shellfish, wear mixed fabrics, or plant different seeds next to each other??

...Would you like me to continue? The same book that says I can't work on Sundays?

  • @jeffmonc2 God's stance doesn't matter in this country... we're not Iran. But even if it did, religious people pick and choose which parts of leviticus they want to obey. (Most Christians do not keep Kosher, for example.)

  • @jeffmonc2 I hope you've never eaten shellfish or worn clothes of mixed fabric. Because Leviticus says those are abominations too :)

  • @jackthayer /watch?v=AEuDDvqYbVw This video explains the root of jeffmonc2's problems. Considering how much time he spends commenting on videos having to do with gay related issues I think this is the most likely explanation for his issues.

  • To deny someone the right to pursue happiness (in this case the right to pursue happiness is to get married) is a violation of the words Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independence. I consider the National Organization for Marriage to be an internal enemy of this country. They spend endless amounts of money (money that could be used for cancer research) on their quest to deny equal civil rights to homosexuals, they base their reasoning on an old book called the Bible- pathetic.

  • Brian Brown is an assinine FOOL. How does Gay marriage PUNISH anyone?

  • In 2011 for the first time two different polls show more Americans now approve gay marriage ( one ABC News poll and the other CNN ) 49% to 46% and 51% to 45%-as time goes by it WILL BE even higher and YES legal in all 50 States ( even you Utah!) get over it and move on people. There are now Argentina,Belgium,Canada,Iceland,Netherlands,Norway,Portugal,Spain,Sweden where it is legal 5 US States and the Wash DC, Mexico City And at least 2 dozen other countries ( some very large and populated ones

  • Love it lol

  • To be honest, I think maybe we should crack down somehow on divorce.

  • thom hartman should be in the mircrophone, telling us why he thinks the way he does, and what his opinions are.

  • my attitude is, if thom hartman wants to run a progressive program, than he should be the one doing the speaking.

    :)

  • Thom, you're splitting the hair! LOL

  • iam a new fan of Mr. hartman

  • What Thom should have said is "I'm not saying your veiws are bigoted, I'm saying you forcing those veiws on others and being intolerant of others veiw is by defintion bigotry". Its only a matter of time folks. Live with it. Gay people will get married some day, and have that relationship recogknized by the goverment.

  • NOM is the only side of the argument with logic. Others are confused, and they therefore try to confuse. Of course, if you don't know logic, nothing we can do....

  • @pinchetele Yeah man, you're completely right. Everyone except NOM is a logic-lacking-confuser! It was obvious all along. Wait, wait. That can't be right. Remind me why the only logical thing to do is to try and prevent Americans from having one of the most basic civil rights, again?

Well, keep being the coolest, nicest and best person you can be, pinchetele! God bless. ++++

  • @THEEATBABIES

You decide what's a basic civil right? Or, who decides. How about the basic civil right to get AIDS?

  • @pinchetele -- If you are seeking to get AIDS, look no more. I can help you with that. But I think the first question I would ask is WHY do you want AIDS? Is it so you can see what it's like to be a minority? If so, GOOD FOR YOU! It's about time people actually put themselves in the shoes of those they hate.

  • PWWWWNNNNNDDDD

  • The guy doing the interview seems to have invited BB on to the show merely to rant at him and try to make a fool of him.

  • @davidn87

He doesn't need to try. He's fully capable of making a fool out of himself.

  • @lulz666f I dont think so.

  • @davidn87

    Then you're lying to yourself.

  • No michaelaganoe, you are the one with mental and emotional issues

  • Webpage called "Homosexual serial killers" shows gays more than 40% of serial killers!

  • @Bestmanme08 Are you saying that heterosexual people account for around 60% of all serial killers?

  • @Bestmanme08

    Guess what?

That means heterosexuals are 60% of serial killers!

  • You are an amazing man. You trashed this bigoted man.

  • By the end Brian is talking in complete circles. "How is that not marriage?" "Because marriage is between a man and a woman."

  • I like Thom, he's addressing all of Brian's fallacies, and Brian understand that. Thom said "your justification for your bigotry is that African Americans are also bigots?" Brian didn't understand Thom wasn't calling his position bigotry, he was tearing apart his claim that just his position can't be bigoted because it is the majority opinion. He was tearing apart the ridiculous claim that it's not possible that black people have suffered from bigotry and therefore can't be bigots themselves.

  • I wish Thom had confronted Brian on his WHOPPING lie about the catholic church and adoption in Massachusetts. Brian said that the state of MA forced the catholic charities to stop doing adoption placements because they refused to place kids with gays. Liar! Catholic charities had been placing kids with gay couples for eight years before they were forced to stop all adoptions by the Catholic church, because the charity refused to discriminate. Shame, shame on you, Brian.

  • this fucking bigot, Brian is dangerous.

he's going to wind up fucking up marriage with his religion....

somebody should tell him to SHUT THE FUCK UP !

  • Thats just the way libs are, they stand for nothing, have zero principles, and are hypocrites with a double standard.

  • @michaelaganoe This is ridiculous. Liberals in this case are fighting for the rights of others, for equality, and for the love between two people to be recognized. What stronger principles can you think of? Those against gay marriage, as far as I can tell, are fighting out of fear and disgust, or out of the refusal to accept change.

  • @LanceDirk They are fighting a small percentage of people, 3% or less, that desire to change the definition of marriage that has been the same for thousands of years. How is it done out of fear? I get tired of liberals using that word. What I do have a fear of, with plenty of evidence to back up, is the homosexual agenda that seeks to pervert our children, I don't care and am NEVER concerned about the homo EMOTIONS, IF THE PLUMBING DOESN'T FIT GAY MARRIAGE AIN'T LEGIT!

  • @michaelaganoe I guarantee there is no evidence that the people who want gay marriage to be passed want to pervert children, unless you think informing children about homosexuality is perverting them, in which case you believe that telling children the truth is perverting them. How can you honestly watch this video and use the "definition of marriage has been around for thousands of years" argument? How dare you change the definition of marriage and take away my polygamy rights!

  • @LanceDirk You have some serious mental and emotional issues!

  • @michaelaganoe LOL! Marriage is a dynamic constitution that has been evolving throughout history. Your knowledge of marriage is laughable at best. There is only one thing about marriage has stayed constant through history: marriage is a LEGAL institution. Always has been (it might change someday). It is a legal contract. It has nothing to do with procreation, or love, or anything of the sort.

  • @michaelaganoe

nope, the definition of marriage has not been th same for thousands of year. in fact it was changed within the last one hundred years.

oh god, teaching kids to accept people for who they are? those mad men must be stopped! it will clearly teach your kids that homosexuality is 'normal', those monsters.

"IF THE PLUMBING DOESN'T FIT GAY MARRIAGE AIN'T LEGIT!"

you are in more dire need of a blowjob than any white man in history.

  • "change the definition of marriage?" Not at all. Lakota chief Crazy Horse had one or two male spouse(s) and many other Native American nations also had what same-sex marriages. Ethnographers have documented this. Some examples: Omahas, Zapotecs, Mohaves, Crow, Hidatsa, Ojibwa, Winnebago, Yuma and Timucua. Other cultures too: In 17th century Fukian Province China, same-sex marriages between gay men seem to have been common. And in West Africa, "woman marriage[s]" a practice by many tribes.

  • @seahorse05 where the hell did you get your facts at SeaAss! lol

  • @michaelaganoe From a reliable source? Something bigots aren't familiar with. Same sex marriage has happened in the past, and is happening now in the US. Several states already have same sex marriages, including California. Right now they're just complaining about quantity. They're not protecting "marriage" as an institution they're protecting a word. And linguistic frugality is no Constitutional reason to deny people their equal protection under the law.

  • @TornAlchemist You deserve no protection under the law as sexual deviants that stems from the lack of a "COME TO JESUS MEETING". It was only legal by federal corrupt judges and not at the will of the people. WE WILL PREVAIL down to the last living Conservative/Patriot/God fearing individual.

IF THE PLUMBING DOESN'T FIT, GAY MARRIAGE AIN'T LEGIT!

  • @michaelaganoe "IF THE PLUMBING DOESN'T FIT, GAY MARRIAGE AIN'T LEGIT!"

That has got to be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

  • @michaelaganoe You will prevail? Tell that to every single Federal judge that is finding DOMA, DADT, and Prop 8 unconstitutional. Gays are going to be allowed to get married. They can already adopt in all 50 states. Your time is actually coming to a close. Only thing I'll give you credit for is that cute little poem at the end of your post, it proves your hideously low IQ, and lack of understanding of just about everything. And as an American citizen yes I do deserve it. Get over it.

  • @michaelaganoe And you will not prevail. Fortunately, our children are becoming more and more educated each day. Like it or not, your generation of ignorant, hateful bigots will eventually cease to exist and a new generation of tolerance will take your place. This is a "war" that you simply cannot and will not win.

  • Wow! Mr. Brown, get off the merry-go-round. (marry-go-round?) My head is just spinning from trying to follow the circular logic. Quick, someone pass me the dramamine!

  • fuck thom Hartmann.

if he wants to run a show, he should run it right and let Brian Brown have his word without the Sensationalist do-over, and let the fuckin listeners decide for themselves what to make of it.

  • This guy needs to get the hell over himself. Seriously blow it out your ass, it just sounds like he feels threatened by change to me. You can still have your "special marriage" Whatever that means, and we can have ours. I love how he implies that only something determined by as little a factor as opposite sex is some how special compared marriage that isn't accustomed of the same tradition. Thanks Thom!

  • "bigot" is too soft of a word for what brian brown and maggie gallagher are

  • NOM ARE F**KING BIGOTS AND THEY SHOULD STOP BELIEVING ALL THE LIES THEY HAVE BEEN TOLD. RELIGIOUS S**T INCLUDED!

  • NOM is the evil offspring of Mormons and Catholics. The two should never breed.

  • @lilliansmart That is so true. So Catholics think it's wrong for gay people to get marrie, yet they think it's okay for their priests to molest little boys. F**K RELIGION!

  • I applaud you.

  • MTN.ORG MINNEAPOLIS,MN. RAINBOW FLAG TV. SHOW Land of the free, Home of the Brave!!!! Not land of the some and those who agree with my religion!!!!!

  • Thom, just think, I have to study and counter these zealots at every turn. It is part of my study in psychology on sexual orientation and the effects of oppression LGBT face. Just think having to deal with people like Brown every other day of the week. My desk has a permanent forehead dent in it. I lose keyboards to this method as fast as people like Brown lose followers.

  • A quote for Prono-Pete:

A person who understands that he is crazy is not that insane. But a person that is insane who won’t realize his beliefs are crazy is often zealously religious.

  • why does NOM supporter, Larry Adams, have a sign saying death is the real solution? Does NOM condone violence or premeditated murder?

  • If Brown doesn't want to get gay married, then he doesn't fucking have to. What gives these conservative/christian fuck tards a right to tell everyone else how to live.

  • What can you really do but shake your head...

Brian Brown is indeed a bigot and a fucking moron.

  • All I heard out of this scumbag was "I want all my rights and I don't want other people to have theirs" What a scumbag...

  • Brian Brown fulfills the spectrum of motherfucker, jerk-asshole-douchebag-prick-fascist-bigot-motherfucker all in one deluded individual.

  • Brian is the feces that is produced when a giant asshole eats too much stupidity.

  • great interview. Must had felt like shooting fish in a barrel fishing out the stupidity

  • I love you thom. That was simply amazing. Please keep up the good work. (I hope he sees this comment ahaha)

  • Thank you so much!!! You were awesome!

  • Oh and just F.I.Y., the majority vote thing is also bullshit. Allowing the majority to vote on the rights of the minority is only acceptable if the minority feels it is fair, and considering that not one of us does, they're violating our rights as American Citizens and oppressing us as human beings.

  • Lastly, I want to thank Thom Hartmann for not simply confronting Mr. Brown, but for utterly destroying every last one of his false statements point by point. Brilliantly done Thom! :]

  • His comments about African Americans being tired is also ridiculous. In the end it doesn't matter which minority has suffered the most; the fact the either of the two have even suffered to begin with is atrocious. Having suffered more or less does not negate that such suffering should not ever even happen in the first place, and for anyone to ever think otherwise is a testament to the absolute failures our societies have made of human compassion, logical reasoning, and individual thought.

  • What bothers me the most is when people pull out religion or the Bible as some sort of factual moral compass that we can't ignore (except when we DO ignore it for our convenience, like for eating shrimp and wearing clothes made of two different fabrics, oh, ho, ho!). The Bible is an ancient piece of text that, unlike marriage, has not evolved in a very long span of time and whose many rules are archaic and do not apply to our current society.

  • I also call bullshit on his claim that he wants to preserve marriage and the foundations of families, because the discrimination of homosexuality he is spreading is telling people out there homosexuality is "wrong," telling others its okay to discriminate against their gay children, brothers, sisters, cousins and anyone else who is a "sodomite." Not only is he not trying to save the foundations of family life, he is completely undermining it and destroying the very fabric of what makes a family.

  • Brown's argument is garbage. Marriage isn't about reproduction; sex is about reproduction. If marriage was about giving birth to the next generation, all animals within nature would have a form of marriage. Case in point: you can be married to someone and have sex with another person and have children outside of marriage, or you can simply have sex while not being married and still have children. Sex does not equal marriage or vise versa.

  • I don't believe in gay rights. I don't believe in women's rights. I don't believe in minority rights.

    I believe in People's Rights.

Should *people* be allowed to get married?

I bet even Brian could answer that one correctly 8)

  • What a biggoted twat.

  • Repeating a claim over and over and over is not the same as presenting evidence for a claim.

  • The definition of marriage is two people who love each other, period.

  • @Hippydude777

No, it's a man and a woman, dumbshit! Don't think backwards.

  • @ma7799 I'm not thinking backwards I am thinking profoundly, and in the future don't use profanity as a rhetoric, its pathetic and you sound stupid which you totally are. Stupid redneck bigot. Do you notice that none of your rhetoric proves mine wrong though it attempts to? do you notice that there is nothing but a vague undefined point in your argument? Your saying that I am thinking backwards al though you provide absolutely no example Before you call me a dumbshit be certain of your hypocrisy

  • @ma7799 And also, says who? your stupid bible which is subjective and is the author's interpretation and representation of the word of god which is just about as solid as air? Moron, we are going into space, we are discovering remedies for the most life threatening diseases, We are making machines that are smarter than the human mind, we are even creating synthetic life. And you throw me standards from a 1.5 thousand year old book and say that I am thinking backwards by disagreeing with it?Idiot

  • People have always been free to choose which religion or church they want to join and support, and that will not change when same sex marriage is made a civil right. Religious people are not being forced into same-sex unions, so why should same-sex couples be forced into religions? Why should someone's religion be a valid smoke screen in their attempt to invalidate the separation of church and state? Don't worry religions: you will still be allowed to be bigoted within your churches.

  • This isn't really a debate its more like watching a puppy get stomped... good thing the puppy is a douchbag.

  • BRILLIANT, THOM! Ugh...can you up-root and come to Iowa to help defend our civil liberties from NOM and Maggie Gallagher? Ah...if only this conversation could have been broadcast on TV in Cali. and Maine, it may have made some difference.

  • interesting how the nom guy kinda gets around to marriage being for one man and one woman because of the children... and then completely sidesteps the "what if two infertile people want to marry?" question. LGBT people are a minority... THAT is the biggest issue for these anti-gay bigots. they don't want to accept we're a minority because then we'd be protected by federal law. this has nothing to do with children or marriage really... we're the last group that its still 'OK' to hate.

  • Oh, you don't like comparing gays to blacks because being gay is a choice and being black isn't? Then why don't you prove that being gay is a choice?

  • ridiculous argument, to compare marriage to slavery

  • why? black people didn't choose to be black. gay people didn't choose to be gay.

  • HateGrind, it's about equal rights, period.

The only reason the Christian Right is up in arms about gay marriage is because a book of questionable fables claims that homosexuality is wrong (though oddly they see nothing wrong with the same book claiming that polygamy, forced marriage, and pedophilia are all totally fine).

  • Like I should care what homophobes think?

You choose your sexuality like you choose your skin color -- in other words, it doesn't happen.

  • slavery to black people, death to jews in holocaust, death in name of the religion in inquisition, oppression to women's rights, the robbery of native american lifestyles by europeans... all happened because those groups were different in some way... but that's unlike this issue right. Denying equal rights to a group because of something different in any sense... guess you got that point nailed...

  • This guy (Brian Brown) never answers a question directly.

  • And the fact is that none of these "studies" were conducted with reputable methods, or reputable psychologists. Not one of these people have been published, or peer reviewed. The American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association have distinced themselves from Dr. Erickson and called his methods, "unscientific, sloppy and biased." When are these guys going to stop manufacturing bullshit?

  • bananito2,

Thanks for sharing the copy/paste evidence that can only be found on right-wing, extremist sites.

  • well, truth is meant to be broadcasted

and i encourage people to "google" about it

    like you for example.

  • try googling "Dispelling Myths of Homosexuality"

It's a brochure colleges and other institutions hand out. See:

"MYTH #6: Gay men tend to be pedophiles and molest children."

  • @bananito2 most of the studies (if not all of them) i have heard about now a days show that most child molesters consider themselves straight

  • Oh My God! I love this man!

  • wow the NOM really are dumb bigots.

  • Thom is brilliant! As always.

  • I know, this absolutely blows my mind.

"If your marriage needs defending, you need a therapist, not an amendment."

    :)

  • this man is utter brilliance!

  • okay so why dont we just find these people and kill them...hmm...anyone els.....hmmm..... yeah.

  • Bigotry has an "executive director". :O

  • Brian Brown is an idiot

  • Brian is just hilarious and is a bigot, sadly he does not see that.

"I've had a vasectomy, should I get my marriage annulled?" is the best line in the whole thing.

  • I personally liked the part when the bigot said "you have to have a male and a woman to make a child"

I know a woman who would be perfectly fine letting him do a paternity test on her and her wife and let him see that 1 impregnated the other with their seed.

They're unable to see that there are people with both genders, and if there are people with both genders we must assume that people can be born the wrong gender, which complicates everything in every way shape and form.

    Just let them be!

  • Thank you Thom :)

  • OMG OMG OMG

    I REMEMBER!

    I REMEMBER!

Girls never went to SCHOOL in traditionnal marriages,

Girls never never went to college, had any dreams or goals or careers,

Girls didn't even decide how many children they're going to have.

    HOW COULD WE FORGET THAT?

Please go to my profile to hear this new appraoch to Gay Marriage.

THIS IS HOW WE WILL WIN!

(ps: HELP! i have haters there!)

  • Call the NOM 1.609.688.0450 and leave them a message on the theme of "survival" :

Gloria Gaynor / Reba McEntire / Destiny's Child / inane parts of the TV show / whatever floats your boat

    1) Look up a video on Youtube (or other) that relates to the theme of survival in any way of your choosing

    2) hold the phone nearby and dial.

    3) Dance while you leave them a message

    4) Make sure you save your mssg & mark it "urgent"

Or fax them pix at ... (888) 894-3604

    We will survive :0

  • Canada legalized Gay Marriage in 2005 (it simply gives same-sex couples a marriage license, but does not require clergy to marry them). Since then, the family and marriage is doing just fine.

  • Marriage as a civil union is not definable by a church. As a sacrament is is definedby individual churches. Many hurches as they stand today believe that Marriage is a blessed ssacrament to bless two peole who have chosen to enter into a holy covenant GAY or STRAIGHT doesn't matter, only love does. LOVE WILL WIN OUT! Brian Brown and his frame of thought is dying out!

  • "I've had a vascetomy, should I get my marrage anulled?" Bloody brilliant! And Dyadtwo, why should a perosn have to leave their area to get married? I know some people do, but others want lots of their friends and family to be present. If they're having to travel long distances that's going to be hard work to organise. And if they do marry in a different state, when they return home, are they still legally married?

  • No child get to decide who their parents are. Its a fact that gay people adopt or naturally have children. Something you can NOT control. So you want to harm the children by denying their gay parents the right to marry! Even if it were true...and a child needs a mother and a father you are going to kick a child because he isnt in your "ideal" home? Thats BIGOTED and MEAN!

    MARRIAGE EQUALITY FOR ALL!

  • Why is it OK for Obama & Clinton to say marriage should be between men & women, but if this lady says it, she's called a homophobic, intolerant bitch?

  • I agree with that, liberal people don't want to talk against obama at all. I think he is being a coward, and just used us to get votes. He claimed he was going to help us, and he has done nothing. I do not exempt him for choosing politically cowardly positions. He said he was going to be an idealist and change politics, and now he is just playing the game. I am very disappointed in him.

  • Obama opposed Prop 8

  • @dyadtwo Clinton is just as much of a hypocrite, as he obviously excluded blowjobs under the desk.

Obama's just being a goddamned politician, especially now that his position on gay marriage is "evolving". I honestly had more respect for him when he said he was against it, and I'm a gay liberal!!

  • And if the majority of people in every state were to vote marriage to be "man and woman" they wouldn't have any state to go get married in. Think about it.

  • how would you feel if you could only practice your faith in certain states? Your Ignorance is astounding...

  • fuck you, but let me tell you if you see the demografics of which majority is against gay marriage, then you will realize is only time before all states accept gay marriage.

  • You completely owned Brian Brown.

    Thank you for that.

  • Okay - a little in love with Thom Hartmann. Thanks for that.

I find the most frustrating part of this struggle for equal rights under the law, the lack of separation of church/state. One religion's bible should not dictate the rights for all.

Allowing this to come to a majority vote in the 1st place makes me embarrassed for the US. It's tantamount to saying people with blue eyes can vote that they are superior & deserve special rights vs. people with brown eyes (does this sound familiar?)

  • LOL "at least one man and one woman"?

    Pathetic.

  • May God have mercy on these peoples souls. Holy shit.... they just don't understand anything... I'm talking about the anti-gay people.

  • I agree with you, except for the bit about there being a god and souls.

  • YOU GOT pWNED BRIAN BROWN!

  • VERY well said!!! =]

  • thom hartmann= win

  • Brilliant. Simply brilliant. :)

  • Wow, epic fail by brian brown.

When he says that " 70% of african americans support prop 8" well then they should know better. The sad fact is history is so soon forgotten

  • As you mentioned David, you might be interested to read about his relationship with Jonathon. Interesting read.

  • Thank you for demonstrating how ridiculous these people are; all they do is argue in circles and cannot really support their stance.

  • The Massachusetts case Brown cites is such a red herring. It had nothing to do with gay marriage whatsoever and was only because the Catholics were using public funds and licensed by the State.

What about the religions that do celebrate same-gender marriage? What about their religious freedom?

  • what f*ing rights are these people talking about. what's more important, the definition of a word or the individuals freedom to live their lives?

  • Babble, babble, babble. Blahbiddy, blahbiddy, blah.

Can the right wing extremists come up with something coherent?

    NOPE!!!

  • Instead of discussing the reason of his beliefs, Brian Brown tries to discuss semantics... Hard to discuss semantics with someone in the communication business, isn't Brian?

  • Well done, Thom!

  • YAY Thom Hartmann!!!! You rock, baby!

  • What about the children that are adopted by same sex couples - does he want those babies to be neglected in orphans rather than in a loving home?

What a sad hateful person that brian brown must be.

    Marriage Equality Now!

  • Good job Thom!! The poor guy didn't have a chance, he just continued to spout memorized rhetoric that is getting tired and old. I hate when people try to hide behind the veil of church to support their ignorance. God loves everyone equally, God doesn't love some people more equally.

  • GO Thom...freakin awesome.

  • Yes! I want bisexual polygamy! Whoo!

  • Thank you Thom Hartmann for standing for truth.
