I think that the aim assist is too strong in this game, it's happened to me too and I think that when you aim down the sights it locks on the the target spot on but your still using the right stick which causes it to sway off target, in previous cod games the aim assist didn't lock on the target but did lock on to the general location, meaning we still had to use the right analogue stick to hit the opponent when you shoot, I think the aim assist on blops is too newcomer friendly and it's thrown
ROFL console noobs... COD stopped being good with Modern Warfare. Then they sold out and just recycled old technology to make shitty games for consoles. If you played real FPS on a real machine, you wouldn't have these problems.
Console fps games have shitty net-code and developers hide this by deliberately obscuring the latency issues with buffers that make the game look visually as if it's performing well on the client side. In simple terms, the game hides lag and as a result neither player truly gets to see what's actually happening in terms of gameplay.
Yo missed the majority of your shots thought. Take a look at where you gun is when the bullets go off. While your gun is oscillating back and forth, the majority of your time is spent trying to get back to the target. You gun wasn't perfectly straight, but it was hell of a lot more stable than his screen. Yous tart shooting to his right (your left) then you swing back, hit him a couple of times) but then you shoot most of your shots to his left (your right). The number of hits he takes matches.
It's because you aren't aren't hosting the network session, this means you will always be firing last and not be doing as well. COD has always had shitty networking code. Go play Halo, you'll never complain about lag, EVER.
Its probably because you were just hit by that semtex. When you take damage your player model is going to go through that animation. It doesnt actually affect your aim, its purely for looks. You not killing him is just because you suck. That is all.
I think what it actually is, is server side and client side differences. What your player model is doing is just playing its animations. You were strafing side to side and that didnt actually effect your aim. Just, on his screen the animations of you strafing side to side caused it to look like your guy is waving like a windshield wiper. And the reason you didnt kill him is because your aim was slightly off towards the end there and the game doesnt kill someone when you shoot them in the head.
This is the difference between an Infinity Ward CoD and a Treyarch CoD. Activision effectively decapitated Infinity Ward so you might as well get used to these kinds of problems or find a new game to play.
I feel like I am fighting two magnets too. especially when I ADS at a corner. when someone comes around the corner, it moves and I have to push the site back on him.
Killcam/Theater is a recreation of events so it is not always accurate - hence why it appeared as if your gun was moving back and forth.
However, the hit detection in this game does indeed suck because there is no lag compensation.
CoD 4 does not have lag compensation, either, but the reason you don't notice the problems so much there is because the maps are smaller. With larger maps, the problem is exacerbated.
Treyarch have no excuse for not including lag comp after it was featured in MW2.
MW2 has the same problem. Thank god for CoD4. P.S. It's no virus, it's part of the game's coding. The Devs put it there to make the game more "fair" to noobs.

Majority of it is due to lag, spotty servers, bad hosts, etc. This happens to me every once in a while EVEN THOUGH I play on a Verizon FiOS network. The only time it seems remedied is when i'm the host for the match. Conclusion? Lag.

@ThisIsCheez Word. It hella helps. I hated when the gun would slow down near an enemy when two were on screen. Couldn't aim at the other guy fast enough. So much better with that setting off. I just wish the Hardcore playlist forced it off. Then it would be deserving of that title.

@ThisIsCheez That wasn't aim assist he was already aiming at the guy when he entered the doorway...what he wanted to show was that on his screen his gun was lined up with the guy or at least near, but on the other guy's view, he was shooting to the left and right and everywhere. Bullshit
