it's a teen movie that I HAVE SEEN(!). it's a film of sexual awakening for a boy with a lot of dumb ideas about sex and girls. it's a film with an age specific appeal. once people grow-up, the narrative loses its charm and it's more embarrasing than realistic.

and yes, as a 16 year old couple, jim and pam make a little sense, but still not much, since boys and girls have tension in their relationships, like ANY relationship, even a friendship.
