Je pense que cette chanson n'a pas de portée sur la couleur de la peau. Faut vraiment passer outre. Je la vois plutôt comme le combat d'un homme contre la société telle qu'elle est. Une société qui abrutit les enfants en les enfermant dans des carcans comme les ignobles programmes diffusés à la TV. Cette TV qui montre qu'ailleurs c'est pire et non pas qu'ailleurs c'est mieux. Ce mode de vie qui juge un homme sur la valeur de son "rendement" et non pas sa vraie valeur en tant qu'homme.

I agree with the lyrics, but didn't Lauryn make babies with a guy that was already married with kids. Damn I guess that's okay these days as long as your lyrics are deep. I can respect the message, but you play with fire you get burned, and then you have a mass off people that do bafoonary such as that, but find ways to justify it, and even play the victim, and we wonder why society is the way it is. I like Lauryn, but I look at things, and people a lot differently these days. What a Life

I don't judge people by their love affair.

When I was 12 yo my neighbor's father announced that he was leaving to go live with another woman. He left his wife, his son (my friend) and his daughter. He always took good care of them even after. He loved them so much and it was obvious.If life was founded on reason, e would never have left but love, is something you just can't control. And when you feel it, you just can't ignore it. Love makes and breaks people, unfortunately. Peace!

@ThePlot911 I definitely hear you, but the key point is you may not judge on love affairs, but I'm sure you have judged, and so have I, and probably will again(whether it's justifiable or not) in this structure none of us can judge, but we do. I appreciate the message always. Again to make the message stick you have to lead by example. I would appreciate a crack head telling me to stay in school, but at the end of the day it's still crack head, and that's what most people would focus on.

It's not because that's what most people will focus on that it is the right thing to do and that we should do the same. But I agree that we judge too much. In fact, it would be impossible to function without judging. But I try not to is what I should have said. The less I judge people the less I judge myself (and it works both ways). I end up loving myself and others way more!
