  • as you probably know, glenn payne was lead, standing in a baritone position, but the baritone was george ammon webster who was replaced by mark trammel in late 70's.

  • @paledin3 o ok thanks!

  • That was brilliant never heard of them before now thanks for posting

  • The best bass performance by George

  • I loved to hear George Younce laugh. I loved his laugh.

  • who is the lead in this vid? almost looks like a hinson. lol

  • @bassman3294 as you probably know it is glenn payne, but george ammon webster is the baritone standing in the normal lead position, who was replaced in the late 70's by mark trammell.

  • Love this music! :)

  • check out Nic Val with the Blackwoods on you tube

  • @Bassclef50 STOP SPAMMING!

  • great song and singers. we will never see anyone like them again, they are unique

  • Roger Horn was another great tenor. Don't know why he wasn't there for the reunion.

  • George hits a low B in this one at 3:47. I guess that's B1, the one that's in the space below two ledger lines below the bass clef. I heard him hit Bb1 multiple times in this concert.

  • Wow, George has a really cool voice-style. Resonant and strong. But I wish somebody would post this song from JD Sumner. I´ve searched for it everywhere, but i`ve never found the whole song. JD goes much lower, I think down to C#1. I would like to here that.

  • C1 was his lowest!

  • correction he held the world record for a short time before JD Sumner took it back from him.

  • @DonSchanteloni I know this is an old post, but if you still want to hear JD's version, go to thebassmanadam. He's got two versions on his channel.

  • lindo!!!

  • George Younce surley is one of the best bass singers of all-time.

  • @archiefan997 agreed!

  • Mack and George Younce nail their parts!! Totally Awesome!! Does Mack sing with any group these days. An awesome talent.

  • Mack has been singind opera for many years. Him and Bobby Clark both

  • Mack is awesome! 1. Ernie 2. Danny 3. Kirk . 5. Mack.

  • That last part by Mack is one of the reasons why he was one of the best tenors to come through this group! You're awesome Mack!

  • I like step into the water a little better i like the faster pace gospel music

  • Which video is this from and when was it released?

  • The reunion and 1995.

  • I can't believe I haven't heard of this project before. I'm kinda shocked. Is this video still available to the general public anywhere? Christian music stores or anywhere online?

  • WOW!! That was awesome! That's gotta be one o' George's best moments! Dang, I love that man!
