This same kind of thing happened at my local powerstation.The orb was cought hovering between high voltage power lines by a security camera and i have had first hand experience with orbs.The truth is far more terrible as it seems
starting at 31 seconds you can see the reflection start showing in the SUV fender right above the wheelwell and on faintly on the hood of the lighter car , near the windshield , on the side between the two vehicles . and it continues ( softly ) across the hood of the lighter car as the object moves. it isn't " giving off " much light and what is there seems very " directed " as it only lasts on the fender a short time and on the hood the same. maybe polarized or intermittent , dunno.
it's not to say that there isn't things that ARE paranormal ( or seem to be ), but I agree with you about this particular orb. I truly hope there are the paranormal
and even Aliens, and I'll keep an open mind and keep looking , but this isn't either I'm afraid.

The 'orb' is clearly displaying the nominalistic motion of a small insect in flight and is in close proximity to the camera.... i see this stuff on my security cameras all the time and am not stupid enogh to think it's paranormal.

But isn't claiming that ALL sightings, images & videos of glowing orbs are Betz Balls essentially claiming that you KNOW, without a doubt, what they are? (For that matter, how can folks claim they are ALL insects, hoaxes or WHATEVER?) No offense, but that seems hypocritical.

" real " orbs pretty much vanished back in the '70s when the last of them fell into civilian hands ( look up Betz ball on Google ) and none have surfaced since those days, and those were clearly government projects.
@k4nlz also: if you look hard enough , you'll find that a total of 17 REAL flying orbs ( all made of stainless steel or ceramic ) fell into civilian hands, including the 5 found in Europe , from the early '50s thru the late '70s. various governments now own ( read that as confiscated ) these orbs ( called betz balls by the end of the '70s ) and NONE currently exist outside of warehouse13s . there are ORBS alright, just they aren't what people want them to be, unfortunately.
No idea what it is, hoax or the real thing but to call it an Orb without more evidence is incorrect, it looks flat and has no tail, there is nothing very "Orbish" to distinguish it from a bug or light reflection. Your best bet is to look at the recording before it appeared and right as it disappeard, this will help you identify it. Also check recordings from night before or night after to see if it's there. Is this all there is visually? Where is all the rest of the footage?
@SatoriSoul .... you can see , from the date it was posted , this clip was copied from my security system and uploaded over 3 years ago. my system writes over it's self every 72 hours. calling this an orb is done for lack of a better choice. what is an " orb " , " sprite " , muse " , or " ghost ". since NONE of these actually exist anyplace except in people's heads , you can call stuff anything you want can't you ? look up the REAL definition of an " orb "

As for the definition of an orb (as it applies to the paranormal) I know a lot about them and have looked them up online. The item you posted could be more accurately defined as a "light anomoly on a security camera recording." As to something "existing in peoples heads" well... everything exists in peoples heads, every experience, emotion, thought, sensation etc., so to say that states the obvious.

@netflicks12 .. what you can't see is the IR motion detecting sensor that is up on the garage face pretty much between the cars but up under the eaves. I have them on all sides of the house and besides alerting people in the house they sound an outside courtesy tone ( to scare off intruders ) and " event " mark the dvr that records all the cameras. if there was someone out there , I'd have known it after they got 3' onto my property. no tape event markers that night.
I think I be more inclined to think a bug or bird , maybe , but not a laser. lasers have coherent light and this thing changes shape. plus this is a VERY low light camera, coherent light is powerful and would have overloaded the camera. I've tried to reproduce it with a laser pointer unsuccessfully. if done up close ( to keep the spot small like the video ) it overloads the camera, if done far away the beam is too big and covers the whole lens .....
I see. Very interesting. I saw a show that was on UFO and all that and was explaining flying orbs on there that occurred in nature due to some sort of magnetic radiation or something from the sun I think, kind of like the Northern Lights. I forget exactly what caused it but it was pretty interesting.

That was most impressive, I could actually see the hood of the Car and the side of the SUV get brighter as the Orb moved around. It was giving off a lot of light for an Orb... wish I could have seen more, video was cut off to quickly... do you have more footage? interesting thought. the laser would have to be shinning on the cars from behind the camera and there doesn't look to be any light hitting the cars most of the time. can't shine a laser into the CCD lens opening without blinding the camera and washing out the scene behind it , lasers pens are way too intense for a low light ccd camera. dunno , your guess is as good as anyone's ! ha ah a haha ha
the security DVR is running at 30 frames , but I had to copy it into my computer using Gotcha which leaves a bit to be desired. on top of that, It gets exported from Gotcha's special format to a format suitable to youtube. all I can think that is noticably missing is the " fumes " or " vapors " effect that while noticable in this video was FAR more pronounced in the initial DVR recording. the " thing " appeared to be giving off a lot more tendrils of vapors or whatever that is !
there are a few frames, when the orb is closest to the car window, when a reflection shows up on the suv fender , right above the wheel well. other than the moving soft glow, nothing else reflection wise. don't know how or why it could come and go like that. maybe it's a giant flying bug or an odd bat or swamp gas or something similar , it's odd looking for sure !

I would say major fake.. You would have showed it leaving if real, and no edges to it.. Either CGI, or light on glass in front of the camera.

i cant say its a orb, because it could have been so many different things.
