  • I miss you Jim Henson

  • at 4:15,did Robin say to taker her bra?

  • Words cannot describe how much I love this show! I saw it first as a tiny kid. And my ex-wife used to call me Sweetums.

  • Sweetums was so freaky to me when I was little. That's what made me remember this movie. That and the "I'm Nineteen" song that I thought was so pretty (still do).

  • Thank you so much for uploading this--took me back to my childhood.

  • And Taminella was never seen and heard from again... How ironic, this would be her last appearance. While she faded from Muppet history, her minion rose to be a regular.

  • *Sigh* I just love happy endings.

  • Lol @ the king "I dont understand any of this but it seems to be ending well"

  • lol if disney wont tell you who will :P

  • They should do Beauty and the Beast and have Sweetums be the beast.

  • @kaya119 MMM HMM

  • @kaya119 that is true like it

  • @kaya119 Oh man! I would see that!!!

  • Okay... the prince is NOT a tenor... oh my poor ears.

  • @Katra21 Mine Aren't

  • @Katra21 HAha! I laughed when he started singing higher than she was. Oh why?!

  • Poor Peasants

  • Poor Featherstone

  • Poor Melora

  • Poor Robin

  • Poor Garth

  • Poor Kermit

  • Poor Sweetums

  • Poor Taminella

  • enthusiastic cheer

  • @Izzy2021666 LOL

  • The little prince kermit at the end thats Jim Henson's youngest daughter

  • @shanmer391 That's Heather Henson

  • The movie is over *expression of regret*

But thank you do much for posting & giving people like me a little bit of their childhood back! *enthusiastic cheer*

    :)

  • @JackieG0630 Thanks

  • My dear, if it were up to me, you could quee all the beans you wanted... Whatever that means. :} I'm 17 and this is one of my favorite movies.

  • The baby is really Jim's baby daughter.

  • @NaiTaiDai That's Heather Henson!

  • Jeez, that witch still scares the crap out of me, haha

  • Wonderful. 3 Cheers! Hip Hip Horay Hip hip HOORAY ! HIP HIP HOORAY!!

  • @screwthenet LOL

  • Lol, I love the king. "I don't understand any of this, but it seems to be ending well."

  • @kaya119 Poor King Rupert

  • I loved this when i was a kid! I watched it so many times that i still have it memorized! lol

  • He was cuter when being the frog...

  • this is the only movie were sweatums has a big part and hes not a backround charecter

  • Ya, my dog is named after you! Kermit

  • 9:23-that baby is actually Jim Henson's DAUGHTER as a little munchkin, by the looks of it about 7 months old.

  • if malora is queen, then wouldnt robin be king instead of prince?

  • @keleic Well, in England, you have Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Philip, rather than King Philip. But in that case, it may indicate that he cannot become king. In other words, when Queen Elizabeth dies, her son Prince Charles will become king, rather than her husband. So maybe Malora's song Kermit can become king but not her husband? Bet you didn't think someone would spend so much time late at night analyzing a Muppet fairy tale, did you.

  • 6:06-"Drat! I've been foiled by the power of love!"

  • I think he seemed a bit arrogant when he was a human, he seemed a lot more humble as a frog...

  • Holly wolly froggy gonna get it now!

  • @SkywalkerDreamer It's "polly woggy"...like a pollywog (a baby frog)

  • I like the scene at the beginning:]]

this is my favorite of all the muppet movies. My dad sometimes imitates tamanella and he sounds like her. Is she played by Frank Oz?

  • @hotchickidy879 Taminella is Performed by Jerry Juhl!

  • Hey! I remember that anthem song! And Kermit swimming? That is something that makes me laugh every time. Ha!

  • I'm with Kermit: it was nice that the new prince was named after him. :)

  • "i don't understand any of this but it seems to be ending well" lmao

  • I want this on DVD!!!

  • The guy playing the prince is Gordon Thomson

  • 6:15

Beats what happened to the Wicked Witch Of The West if you ask me.

  • Who plays the king his voice sounds so familiar.

  • Jim Henson

  • @lisababy85 I think it's whoever does the voice of umm...the two old guy puppets. I don't know their names other than the Marley brothers in Muppet Christmas Carol. I noticed that, too.

  • me n my bro were so scaredof sweetums but amazed n always watched wierd, always loved him the most but wouls always ask is sweetums in it then we loved it!!muppet show!!!ruled my rents would watch w us n die laughin in the mid to L8 80s n i think they were stoned the muppet show was for adults if u listen to things they say

  • Thanks so much for uploading this. I've been wanting to see it again since I was a child! I think it had been at least 14 years since I saw it last.

  • The part with Sweetums tearing up his house used to creep the bejeezies out of me when I was a child.

  • i liked the prince more as a frog, he was way cooler!

the human prince is acting like a douche^^

  • they should make a sequel!

  • disapointing...

  • Can we please at least have Robin's singing voice back? This guy just isn't that good... Either that or he's just not a tenor.

  • This guy meaning the one in the video (Jerry Nelson, who preformed Robin for years), or the one that replaced him when he retired?

  • The guy who is playing the prince. I'm just meaning the acting guy- not the puppeteers

  • ech i liked him better as a frog lol

  • This song from Sweetums sounds like an Alice Cooper tune! TESTIFY!

  • Thank you, thank you, I've been looking for this FOREVER!

  • 8:40 sweetums has no teeth!!!!

  • he has at least 2! lol :)

  • Lol. Its still Funny haha! ;)

  • At 5:40, Robin isn't on Taminella's head, but then he appears there in the next shot.

  • Facilier is definitely going to end up like the evil witch in the new disney movie. But, while his cane is destroyed, he might get killed by the shadow demons he controlled.

  • I'd rather Richard Hunt play Sweetums.. this Sweetums' voice is too deep T-T

  • who plays sweetums anyway?

  • Well, according to IMDB, the puppet was still performed by Richard Hunt, but the voice was Carl Banas.

Now, I think Sweetums is played by John Henson, Jim's son.

  • First Muppets Holding Co.... ....Now Marvel... ...Does Rupert Murdock run Disney er something??? O.o

  • Kermit is sucha cute swimmer!

  • I'm so glad this is on here! I always seem to remember watching things like this and my friends have no idea what I'm talking about. Geez, now I know what Melora felt like!

  • He was better as a frog.

  • Your right he was much cutier as a frog and a better singer.

  • I wonder why Richard Hunt didn't do Sweetums in this movie.

  • If I recall right, he started to do Sweetums voice and body for the Muppet Show, but at first only did his actions for Sweetums because he was the tallest.

  • Comment removed

  • Does ANYONE remember the Muppet Christmas Special in the 70's-80's where Santa's elves names were Hippity, Hoppity, PIng, Pong and Fred?? Where can I find it?!!!

  • That's the Great Santa Claus Switch...it has Gonzo.

  • @henleyisgod That Would be The Great Santa Claus Switch

  • did you know that Prince Kermit was portrayed by Jim Henson's youngest daughter?

  • No. Dang, that's a cute baby!

  • You mean the one who Mr. Henson's little girl who is all gown up?

  • yep

  • kermit the fwog :*)

  • Featherstone is bossy! with the whole anthems of Job thing and telling the audience how to react to EACH emotion. JERKY Featherstone! It was appropriately correct for them to boo at Taminella. They must probably know that she's a witch

  • I LOVED this movie when I was little.

  • aww nice. :)

  • *singing* "polly woggy froggy get a mighty pow" i so remember this....

  • Does anybody notice a Manha-Manha like What-Not Muppet in the crowd?

  • At 08:43

  • Yep, there he is. Thanks, I just kept seeing his back before that.

  • Yeah I did a lot :)

  • i remember when i was small, i knew that i had once seen this scene of Robin and Kermit escaping from Sweetums in a dungeon, but i couldn't remember what it was from. It was a very fuzzy memory, i must have seen it when i was 2 or 3. Then years later, i saw this on Disney Channel, and the memory clicked into place, "ohhh, THIS is where i saw that! i thought i'd dreamed it!" lol

*cringes at the prince's singing voice at 8:26*

  • Wow...I was taken back 20+ years. It's a shame that kids these days don't appreciate these sort of things...

  • @Tybalt114 They have nothing to appreciate

  • @Tybalt114 Kiki: I appreciate this kind of thing, me and my friends are even working to try and avenge Jim Henson. (Disney ruined it after he left..) Stuff like this though makes me wish I was around during the 70's. Just letting you know not all us kids overlook things like this.

  • @TheGrapelettes Thanks

  • "I don't understand any of this, but it seems to be ending well, so..." *ROFL*! @.@;;;

  • It's too bad richard hunt passed away. He and jim were great with the muppets.

  • Who's that?

  • chris crocker is the 20th most subscribed user on youtube, hes also a homosexual who got famous for "leave britney alone"

  • aah ok I see now, thanks :-). I think I remember seeing that video, just didn't know the name.

  • lol, kermit singing in the water during the credits amuses me

  • I hope the Muppet designers remembered to waterproof him well!

  • and thats a happy ending XD!!!!

  • Wow, I haven't seen this since I was 3 or 4. I used to love to imitate Sweetums, "Nighty-night" and then fall back on my bed.. allll the time.

    This takes me back. Wow.

  • I loved this, I was a kid when it came out and had the record, I was really beat on the Sweetums song and would dance all over the place. Thanks for putting this up!!!

  • i dont know but kermit doesnt look like he could swim

  • was somebody in the water with their hand up kermits ass? lol

  • When Sweetums knocked down the beams in the dungeon, it could have compremized the structural integrity of the whole castle. Very irresponible.

    I love Muppets

  • This is too funny!! I had the audio record of this story thirty five years ago. I played it dozens of times as a little kid. But this is the first time I actually watched the video version.

  • look Sweetums is in the audience

  • OH BOY! look at all those muppets! SO FUN! Melora & Prince Robin are the only humans! LOL! bye Taminella!

  • look how happy Princess Melora is at 5:18 mega happy for her and smiles!

  • I think I was a teen when this came on tv. Everyone in my family loved it. We still used "have a popover froggy!" in family conversations.

I LOVE KERMIT! I first saw Kermit on the Ed Sullivan show...he did his skit with the "worm" that turns out to be the long nose of a frog-eating monster.

  • Does anyone have a video of that? Kermit's appearance on the Ed Sullivan show?

  • boy did they come a long way in just the two years between Hey Cinderella! and this.. great refinement of characters, style, etc

  • Sweetums's song rocks!

  • it is quite catchy!

  • Yep, plus Sweetums rocks!

  • thats my favorite puppet thats the only puppet for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is the king also his voice?

  • Technically, should the curse on Robin have been broken too when Tamenela was destroyed?

  • No-not neccesarily. See Robin's curse could only be broken if a Princess befriended him and kissed him. It's sort of like in Disney's version of Snow White-Snow White can ony be awakened by true love's kiss. So when the queen falls off a cliff, the spell remains because it has to be broken by her true love.

  • Yeah... Although, it's weird that Taminella dropped her cane just because a frog "bit" her, seeing as frogs have no teeth.

  • yeah well they cant sing and talk also but whatever

  • True... True.

  • Guy Smiley...not as frightening as John Tesh.

  • I remember watching this years ago, and thinking whenever Sweetums talked..."That is NOT Richard Hunt!".

Much later, Sweetums claimed that he'd never hurt his best little buddy Robin, that he was only following the script, all in the interest of a paycheck. :)

  • Yeah, Sweetums is a swell guy.

  • Thank you so much! It was great to take something from my childhood and share it with my children! Not go bake the hall in the candle of her Brain!!!

  • Jim Henson was a genius, hands down. And I think it's kind of cool that Melora is a queen, but Robin stays a prince - was Henson a supporter of women's lib? ;-)

  • I thought that too! But Albert stayed a prince even after marrying Queen Victoria...so maybe it's the same thing....I don't know, but I love this movie!

  • @DConS81 Of course, in England, you have Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, rather than King Philip.

  • No clue... I assume they get married afterward, though.

And see Sweetums in the crowd? He looks different. Different eyes and no fangs.

  • I still can't figure out how Sweetums got into that crowd...But in the words of the King...

King: I don't understand any of this, but it seems to be ending well.

  • Sweetums gets into the crowd because the spell was broken. He's no longer an evil ogre. That's why his sharp teeth are gone and he's smiling.

  • There was a spell on Sweetums?

  • brake the ball in the handle of her cain. i love this movie =)

  • i love it anyways. remember it from when i was a baby.

  • thats ok i guess but frogs dont have teeth

  • Featherstone: Murmur of Amazement, LOL

  • large cheer

    continuous applaud

    expressional regret

    enthusatic cheer...

    soooo funny

  • Thanks a lot, I have search this film for a long time to show it has my son, this film has mark my childhood, thanks a lot

  • FROGS! frogs frogs everywhere!!!

    hahaha - yay XD

  • forget adam carrington, gordon thompson used to be on polka dot door.

  • i totally figured out the riddle. haha.

  • @risrabbit I figured it out too, but I cheated and wrote down the "candle of her brain" line. Also, I was 19 years old when this first aired in 1971

  • ha, my mom remembered this before i did because it was a big part of my childhood and I'd forgotten. when i finally remembered i was jumping up and down and was like, ' yes! muppets! frog! prince!' man, i love this movie. (sweetums scared me too. still does) :)

  • GLAD I'm not the only one who was freaked out by this as a child! Thank goodness for YouTube - I really needed to see this as an adult to get over it! *L* Thanks for posting these videos. :)

  • that guy is hot

  • At the near ending, I think Sweetums lost his fangs.

  • lol Omg...This gave me my very first nightmare when I was about 4....it impacted me so much that I've remembered it all these years lol :)

  • That was so sweet!!

  • Murmur of amazement!

  • FROG GLOMP!

At 6:05 Taminella sort of went the way of the wicked witch of the west!

  • @heartseed Although she did fly away as a bird, so she was not completely destroyed

  • Sweetum's song is great! That king puppet was also used in Jim Henson's version of Cinderella.

I love the ending-it's so adorable.
