A band writes a song in 7/8 and all of a sudden gets to be looked at as progressive; that's how it works now I guess. (I'm referring to shoot first)

I don't think the supposed progressiveness of Pineapple Thief has much to do with the song "Shoot First" as many other tracks on the album remind me far more of progressive rock music. Look at the second half of the album. Whether or not Pineapple Thief is a "progressive rock" band, isn't very important anyway.

Actually I believe they stated as biggest Influences, PT and Radiohead... you if you didn't read that too, then you really heard the influences pretty good.

Their is an undergound world of musicians and true music lovers who exist beyond pop and radio. For those of you who have discovered The Pineapple Thief - welcome. Most of their albums are discontinued and cannot be found, if you like their music and can find it, get it.

There are other bands who live in this world, some more popular and have impressive discographies. Happy hunting...
